Some of you have to get a realistic view of the depths to which this program has sunk. I am a PL alum and a SBU fan, and the comments here are laughable...suggesting SBU could be the toughest D DeMorat has seen this year, remembering when "lowly" PL teams were automatic wins. Holy Cross is 7 in the country, has beaten an FBS team (and a solid one at that as Buffalo is atop their division in their conference and their only other 2 losses are to a Big10 School and a school just out of top 25, and they have in conference wins over teams that have beaten power conference teams). Fordham has an explosive offense that is putting up eye popping numbers and the only reason they do not own a win over an FBS team (and an undefeated record) is that their defense is prone to allow other teams to put up eye popping numbers as well. Fortunate for them, I am not sure Stony Brook is in a position to do that, regardless of the competition. Oh yeah, Fordham has also beaten 2 other teams from the vaunted CAA this year. Don't get me wrong, I love SBU and want them to succeed, but some people here seem to have an inflated sense of the strength of this program. The lone bright spot this year (hopefully) will be the development of McKee...I think he's for real, and from a personal standpoint, he has a good matchup for his first start, maybe against Fordham he can put up some confidence building numbers...but if the margin of Fordham's victory is less than 2 TD's, I'd be shocked.
