I hope SB manages to find a starting QB and sticks with him (and he excels of course.) LAST THING that I want to see is early into the first drive of the first game on a 2nd and 8- Priore shuttles in the backup for a QB draw.

1. We finished pretty well last year and are returning some quality guys. Still haunted by that disappointing Fordham loss.

2. This is a strong URI team and a SBU win would be impressive. Could be a very good game to watch in person (and nice evening weather too).

3. This would have been a nice season to have gone out and pulled in a competent grad student QB for a one-year rental. I know that is much easier said than done and I am not usually a fan of that but we do have a couple of nice pieces already in place and no obvious QB starter.

I think their low is 3-8 and the high is 6-5. Priore's contract is up at season's end, and my guess is this will be his last season on Long Island.

It makes Priore look very bad to be choosing between three QBs with zero starts combined between them rather than having been active and getting a transfer QB.

I agree with you with your final season talley. But i don't agree with you about Priore retiring. His contract will be extended regardless of what happens

Charlie Mckee would be my bet for a starter

McKee is redshirting this year so it will be Zamot, Guitieri or Bryden

Season starts in 3 days, you would think Coach P would let us know who is starting at QB. Everything is a secret with the school, why not open up a little, so frustrating.

WOW!!! I'm not liking the choices. I say that because I think Josh Zamot, the only senior QB in the mix, is not good. The other two Freshman players are unknown and really should sit out a year to learn the system. Priore should have brought in a grad transfer QB for one year, just so the young bucks can learn the college game.

Bryden had very impressive numbers in HS. This is going to be a battle between McKee and Bryden for the starting QB position down the road. We'll see.

i think 6-5, maybe 5-6.  we showed some promise late last season.

i really wonder if we beat UMass, which is FBS in name only, so to speak.
There are 29,413,039 corporations in America; but only one Chairman of the Board.

A rookie QB or a senior QB who has proven to us is not that good. I'm not as optimistic. But who knows? It's not like Priore has much to say about anything with football. This is all a guess.

Good thing for Campi. He is our only source of information about the team.

there is always a debate in every team between rookie and veteran QB but i always side with the rookie who may have some teething issues in ncaa football but upside could be greater if the patience and coaching is there. i would always much rather risk things and push/promote the recruiting team by making them think if we select a guy he will play. boost to recruitment is how you get ahead IMO.

Whatever happened to waiting your turn to start? Most large, football schools dont start freshmen. Unless he is a 5 start recruit. You sit on the sideline and learn the game of college football first, while the upperclassman starts. Zimmot is a senior QB, but he is not good from what we can see from the few times Priore put him in.

I went to a few spring practices and I thought Bryden looked like he was the most accurate but I wish them all good luck. Guttieri is the local kid so it would be fun if he won the job.

I am looking forward to the game tomorrow night!
