Coming off a surprising win at Albany (the first since a 36-35 victory against Villanova on October 26 2019) the wolves get a Bye and will then travel to New Hampshire.

New Hampshire has faced two consecutive cancellations due to COVID19 protocols and will aim to play Rhody on April 3rd prior to our matchup on the 10th.

Just got around to listening to the weekly coaches call and Chuck said Fields has a torn labrum in his left shoulder, sprained MCL in his left knee, and an ankle sprain. Add that backup Josh Zamot was hurt and didn't dress (not actually mentioned on the call, a couple of sources told me he was banged up in the loss at UD). They dressed a true freshman as the backup this past Saturday.

With other schools cancelling the remainder of their spring seasons, at what point does SBU along with other CAA schools just pack it in and call this glorified spring practice season off? You're risking serious injury to players for the fall as well as more Covid. Everyone will retain another year of eligibility, so why keep going? especially when you're one of these 1-3 or 0-4 teams.

I have to agree with you. Not so much because of Covid, but because SB sucks this Spring. They should just pack it in and wait until the Fall.

Which brings us back to asking why did SBU play football this spring in the first place? Risk was always greater than the rewards. Injuries. Cost. It had to cost money to play this spring and thats money that SBU doesnt have. Poor leadership. I would love to know if CP wanted to play this spring.

SBU never should have played football this spring. A waste of money that the athletic department does not have. Why do I feel like this could be the beginning of the end of football at SBU?

Maybe Chucky Cheese gets lucky and finds a real dual-threat QB who wants to transfer into SBU. Naaaaaaa. That won't happen..

Albany football packed it in.

They came into the season with a couple of injuries and have sustained so many too numerous starters; it's borderline laughable yet gut-wrenching to see. I never want to see a player get hurt, and despite it being Albany, I feel bad because of how many injuries they've suffered.

I have to agree with you guys. SB should definitely pack it in. I put that out there to Brookland on Twitter as well.

I guess calling it quits at this point is the only choice. Its a shame. I'm of the believer that if you start something then finish it. Otherwise don't do it halfassed.

But I get the situation. but didn't these schools know the situation 2 months ago? or did they think covid19 was going to magically disappear?
