Good. But SB needs to bring in new blood. A coach with a strong background in recruiting and grooming players to be stars. In a healthy program, moving coaches up to Defensive coordinators or offensive coordinators is a good thing, but I believe SB needs a new start. Coaches with a strong pedigree of playing for big-time conferences. The time for change is now, not later.....

You’re allowed to fire people before their contract ends.

I was just being facetious, anyways. Not sure what other changes could be so monumental, but my ears are open.

Our defense has been our strongest unit going back several seasons. They're the reason we had those playoff appearances and have been able to compete with teams like JMU on the field. With McIntyre gone I expect yet another step back for this program defensively and there's nothing Chuck can do offensively to make up for that (as we've seen). I expect a couple more years of mediocre 5 win seasons before finally getting Chuck out of here and bringing in someone else.

LaValle stadium will turn into a ghost town if coach P contract gets extended again.

Stony Athletics as a whole is starting to make some waves nationally. Look what the girls BB doing this year, and the boys BB could quite possibly make a run to the NCAA for only the second time in D1 history. Girls Lax looks to be rebuilding from the lose of the OhMiller sisters, among others. Boys Lax has a new coach and it is my understanding, recruiting has gone up consiberally. Baseball is always on top of their game and conference. Football, well. That where the problem lies. Clean house. Bring in new personal and lets get this program off the ground and be a force in the CAA in the FCS..But not untill coach P retires or moces out.

When Lyle left as DC and McIntyre took over most people on this forum thought SBU defense would be bad but that never happened having said that I believe Coach Noel will do a great job.
On another note a really good player out of New Jersey posted on Twitter that he had an in home visit from Coach P and the OC today

Not 100% true, Campi. I didn't do a pie chart on statistics but I do believe this year and last year SB defense gave up a ton of yards every game. I know there were quite a few games where SB gave up 400+ yards in a game. The most yards in the 10 years I've been following SB football.

Thats correct and the middle of the field  was always  open to the run or pass . Albany ran all over us  before we figured out how to slow them down .
