Former Pine-Richland standout Tyler King, the leading tackler for two WPIAL titles and a state championship, announced Sunday his commitment to Stony Brook.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker originally committed to Navy as a senior last spring and attended the Naval Academy Prep School. He’ll enroll at Stony Brook in January.

SBU just picked up another very good football player when Cole Bunicci of Connetquot HS committed. He can play several positions; WR, Safety, OLB and has good size 6’3 215

Yeah, I saw that. Is he a better at the TE position or on defense? Did any other FCS school give offer him a scholarship?

I helped run the PAL Suffolk County HS Football All Star Game last night at Sachem North and the SBU QB of the future Drew Gutieri showed me why they wanted him. Drew is very mobile with a strong accurate arm and a quick release and was the North Offensive Player of the Game.

Yeah, I read that. But I could see coach P holding him back to his junior year to start. They still have Josh Zimmot in the wings waiting. My motto is. Go with the best guy and not who has more time. Politics 1+1 with SB. Trust me, I'm part of that system!!

I think Zamot is going to get a shot next because while Fields is a tremendous athlete he’s not consistent so at the very least Zamot becomes the backup and this is my opinion and I could be dead wrong because I also like Cassidy

It almost doesn't matter which of the three play because none of them will play up to their potential under this coaching staff as it currently operates. That's just the truth.
