The player is from the CHSFL and once it is announced officially I will post it is a little bigger then Ray Bolden with 4.4 speed and great hands can also return Punts.

Looks like SBU will be getting another really good WR and kick returner, coming out of Stepinac.  Shawn Harris has committed.  Is this your guy, Campi47?

He actually committed the end of July but just announced it today he's another Archbishop Stepinac stud player who's having a great senior season so far. If you have Optiimum Cable on Friday night at 7:00PM they will be playing St. Anthony's on channel 61.

SBU wanted Harris because he's a clone of Ray Bolden only a little taller and faster got that info from the SBU coach who recruited him.

SBU got a big time commitment when one of the top kickers in New Jersey Angelo Guglielmello of St. Joe's Montvale verbally committed. I would not be surprised if he isn't our starting PK as a true freshmen in 2019

A little insight on commitments; to date 5 players have committed (if you go through previous posts you will see their names). In addition 2 other players currently hold offers. Between the players we lost last year and what we will lose this it's about 40 players so because of that the remainder of the 2019 class will be made up of DI transfers and JC players so that we remain in the top tier of the CAA as our younger players develop.

Campi, What do you know about Yodhe Desta, OL from PA. He holds 9 offers and just committed to SB for 2019. He looks strong but raw.

I don't think Yodhe was the player to commit. I'm hoping it was Keith Winfrey from Floyd. I think he could be the heir apparent to Haggart at the anchor/OLB position. He's embarrassing people in the video below.

It is Keith Winfrey he will announce it later today that means SBU now has in my opinion the top LB in Aidan Kaler and the top DL in Winfrey on Long Island

we're winning.  we just expanded the stadium.  the U is moving along nicely.  he'll get to play in front of his family often.  and get a great degree for not much.  it's an exciting time.  these are the types of kids we should be signing.  nice land, SB.
There are 29,413,039 corporations in America; but only one Chairman of the Board.

He looks like a beast- super athletic in those videos. I give Coach P a lot of flack on the offensive side but he really does develop these defensive players well. Long Island football players will continue to be overlooked- Stony Brook should continue finding raw but athletic talent like Winfrey who can develop into elite college players. More and more non-FBS players are making impacts in the league so this is still a viable path to the NFL.

I was at that Floyd/ Ward Melville game a couple of weeks ago. Winfrey is a beast and he looks like he could be college ready. My son is standing on the sideline in street clothes in the one Highlight video.   :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Winfrey is the kind of kid just jumps off the screen as an absolute monster when you look at his tape. What a get for this program!! I hope he stays committed because the kid looks like he'll be a stud.

According to 247 he also holds offers from BC and Yale. As others have noted....this seems to be a very high quality 3-star student athlete. Hoping to see him sign in December.
