Let’s continue the game specific good discussions going here:

not just SB- but look at the other games- we could very well see more than one CAA-FBS upset this weekend: http://www.espn.com/college-football/scoreboard/_/group/48/year/2018/seasontype/2/week/1

Yep. All of them are winnable for the CAA including our game. The closer and closer we get to kickoff, the better I feel.

Air Force reminds me of a lot of Army . They are not that big  compared to our guys -the downside is there are 85 of them with schollies .  Add the altitude at the academy and maybe mid day heat it could be a long afternoon .  Our guys need to stay hydrated and be aware of their breathing .  Should be an interesting game.  As for UNH and Delaware losing that's great. We face both of them this season .

Absolutely. They run the triple option just like Army. Their guys are no bigger than ours and could likely be smaller actually. They'll definitely be smaller than the USF team we played, and we hung with them the whole game!! The key to the triple option is discipline and I think our defense will fare fine against it. My only concern is the altitude. If we can run the ball well though and control the clock, that will be mitigated. I'm excited!
If you get there before the day of the game, the altitude is not a factor.

Less than an hour until kickoff. Get hyped guys!!! I like our chances.

Air Force's helmet with the AC130 on it might be the greatest I've ever seen.

Won't impact the game though. Go Seawolves!!

Carbone has been playing really poorly. Really lacking composure and missing open receivers all over the place.

Really great field position twice a NO points. Can't beat good teams like this. Team looks like a definite FCS team

Save for the first drive, I think the defense is playing well. Disciplined for the most part. This is a hard offense to stop and we're doing a decent job of it.

Offensively? Disaster. The offensive line is getting no push off the ball, leaving no holes for our backs to move through. Combine that with classic Coach P basic play calling (run up the middle) and things aren't looking good offensively. Carbone hasn't looked great through the air so far. If we have to rely on his arm we're in trouble as we become one dimensional. The altitude may be causing the ball to hang in the air more than usual, throwing off some routes.

Down  17-0 now.  Now  we have to start to pass .  No one is fooled by our offense  just run up the middle continuously .  Bring in a new  QB before we get blown out .

Game halted due to a weather warning possible lightening .  Maybe we will get lucky and they will call the game.  try again in 30 minutes.

I'm not giving up quite yet. This delay is good as it gives us time to make valuable adjustments. Then again, if we can't get a push off the line of scrimmage offensively, what good will extra time do us?

Remember the Toledo game a few years back? That game didn't get called, but got wiped off the books like it never even happened. That was after a 3+ hour delay I believe.

Our offense never showed up today.  Two opportunities to score and blew both of them.  The defense is holding their own as usual but cant be out there all afternoon.   One more score by AF and its game over  Carbone would have to throw all afternoon just to catch up.

Typical Stony Brook football against good team- great defense and no offense.

This year is make or break for Priore and not off to the start I wanted to see.

No change in the play calling at all after that break.

I'm going to tough this one out until half time and that'll be it. We could still have a good season, but this isn't a good omen.

EDIT: The game just went into another delay. That'll be it for me. There are some great FBS games on today.
