Is Elon really the 2nd best team in the conference? We will find out the last four games of the season. Their schedule is pretty back-loaded with UNH/NOVA/JMU to close the season.
Anyway. I agree that the game against Richmond is big. But please don't even suggest dropping a game to Albany at home. That's a rivalry. We need to beat them EVERY year. lol
It's a rivarlry game that we should win and win frequently, but that hasn't been happening. They've won two of the last three and lead the all time series. In a true rivalries you can throw the records out the door since they don't matter. I hope this is the year we crush them though.
I like to think that if we win 2/4 we should be in the playoffs. Why not? 7-4 in the CAA should do it. Obviously 8-3 would remove all doubts
The road starts @Richmond. This game is yyuuuge!
Normally yes, but avoiding JMU, Nova, and Elon when they're all in the top half of the league hurts our SOS. Albany got snubbed at 7-4 last year and they beat FBS Buffalo. They've put a 6-5 team from the MVFC in the playoff before and I have no doubt they'd do so again if it's between us at 7-4 with no signature wins vs an SIU, Northern Iowa, or Youngstown State who finished 6-5 but knocked off a couple ranked MVFC teams in the process. That league could get six teams in this year and Montana is competitive again. We'll need more, but I think we'll get it.
