Ok your right the coaches dont want to win, they do this for their health. 9 - 2 doesnt lie. At least sound like u know what ur talking about. How bout all u haters get together during the playoff game, mix up some haterade and pass it around so you all get a taste and make sure you dont spill any on youselves. And the rest of us will enjoy a home playoff game. Go check out what WLax coach Joe Spallina tweeted. I think he would know what good coaching is.

Boy talk about front running. Everyone jumping off the ship and hanging the staff again. This team knows how to win tight games. Today was a gift for sure but you have to keep playing in order to put yourself in that position. The staff obviously gets these kids to play for them and buy in, if they didnt they would lose the close games. Down two rbs, top wr, and NFL talent at tackle but yet they scratched and clawed and found a way. That comes from coaching. These kids just dont go out there and do it by themselves. It really seems like some of u are not happy that they won because that guarantees that the coach is back and that is pretty sad. Preseason ranked 9 in the conference and now the are in line for a seeded bid. You dont accomplish that with bad coaching. You may not like the style they play but give some credit where it is do. Carbon dosent improve without good coaching. 9-2 with one conf loss and the other to USF who is 9-1. Stop acting like the man stole your money and root for real for this team. This program is on the up and the fact that some of u are miserable due to the fact that the coach will be coming back, well quite honestly that makes me happy. I am choosing now to enjoy your miserable hater comments knowing that sometimes your day is ruined by who coaches a 1 AA football team. Great day for SBU football !!!

I have to agree with ChrissyD. Why all the coaching non-sense right now? I mean. You can dislike the coach. But give Coach P some credit. We stormed the CAA by surprise this year. That requires talented kids but also requires coaching that keeps them focused and believing. We have a great program and we should be happy about that. We need to look at the bigger picture and not be so "What have you done for me lately?". Coach P has grown this program consistently since the Big South days and now has us solidly in the top tier of the CAA! Stability is important. Let's enjoy the win and the history that our program is making right now.

This is NOT Alabama. This is not Ohio State which makes it hard for me to understand why such crazy pressure and expectations of our fan base here. We are trying to build some tradition, I get it, but some of us need to calm down and level our expectations with the reality of who we are right now and who we want to be as a program. We are an FCS program in the top league (CAA) that draws about 7,000 fans per game. Let's take it easy and enjoy the steady & stable rise to success.

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen i just finished watching the game my opinion we were horrible Coache p game plan Sucked you took these young men into battle with no game plan i said it and i will say it again COACH P play's to win but COACHES to lose. How can you expect to win games when he runs the same play's game after game. I would like to take my hat off to that DEFENSE. I no COACH P Will not tell you guys this. Thank you. The defense shut Maine down for almost 3 quarters. I don't want to hear s--t from you guys talking about we won again i will say this these young men wanted this more than the coaches

Bingo... I was just having this same conversation with a few people. SB players wanted this game more than the coaches... Yes Chrissy. This is what the majority of people who follow this team thinks... May be you should start thinking outside the coaches box, too!!! You cant tell me for  three and a half quarters the play calling wasn't dismal .. These kids played with heart today and won... I feel as if they took the coaches game book and threw it in the garbage and went out there and did there own thing. Kudos to the defense and and I think it was Jackson who caught that TD pass!!!

You sound like players revolted or something. Sorry to say but you should see the support Coach P has from players.

Again that fact that u believe coaches dont coach to win is laughable. I spoke with a few of my football alumns after the game and they would highly disagree with you. You may not like the style but the results are the hard facts. Like i said go look at coach Spallinas tweet, he would know better. I think u could buy hater juice at the dollar store.

And another thing speak for yourself when u say the majority of people who root for this team feel that way. That may include your group and and a few on the thread but stop speaking for other people. To back up that other point, I didnt see the team leave the field in a protest of the coaches, come back with their own game plan and win the game. Gimme a break. Why dont u check with all the football alumn, the guys that actually played here and see how they view the program and the coaches. You would find out that u couldnt be more wrong.

I'm with Chrissy.

And at this point, I fully support a Coach P contact extension

Of greater immediate importance, anyone have a status on Bolden?
How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

I want to see how we rebuild after losing so many seniors next year. If he can get us to six wins next year while making the offense more dynamic, I'll be for an extension too, but I want to see how he rebuilds this team during the off-season. You cannot let a recency bias let you forget the questionable play calling, late season meltdowns, and disappointing five win seasons.

Don't forget guys that we won on a hail mary. I'm as happy as the rest of you, but 99 times out of 100 that ball gets batted down and we lose the game. We also had the Albany and William and Mary games which were near disasters. Next year will be more telling than this one. Additionally, unless we can lure Hemphill back, there's nobody that jumps out as a clear replacement candidate either. Something to consider.

The game-winning TD pass was the number one "top ten" highlight on Sportscenter.

There’s some truth here. The team has been very inconsistent and some wins were really tossups. It’s fair to say that Coach P has not demonstrated he’s worth more than a year to year contract after all these years. If the team goes back to a five win season next year, it’s time to look elsewhere.

Awesome, thanks. Hopefully the feeling carries them through the playoffs.
