Wow. The play stands!!

WE WON GUYS!!! 9-2!! Second in the CAA!!

Now we still need utter chaos to get that seed and bye, but holy hell Carbone with the perfect pass at the end there. I didn't get to see who caught it, but he went up for it and pulled it down in a sea of about five Maine defenders. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that makes the SC top 10 later tonight.

Also, I'm pretty sure we only had 10 men on the field on the final play. I could be wrong there though.

Judgement Day in the CAA. Both UNH (12 -0 losing at Albany) and Delaware down vs Nova 28-0! SBU escapes. What the heck is going on?

I was so tempted to turn the stream off after that failed 4th down, but I knew we had one timeout and could get the ball back with 30 seconds left. I also knew we've been getting big plays moving the ball through the air on the plays where Carbone actually threw it well. I wasn't expecting what happened, but I knew we at least had a chance!!

Now imagine how the game goes if we threw the ball a bit more and were't so one dimensional? We didn't run a single play action, zone read, or anything!!

Now hope for chaos, and we may yet get seeded.

Not sure. I know with losses, so many teams will be sweating it out on the bubble tomorrow morning. I don't really care though. WE WON!! It makes the UNH win and Delaware loss both a bit less impressive, but we did beat Albany so take that how you will. In the MVFC they'd simply call that parity and the league being deep.

Never quit! I had both the shark FM stream and the video Stream on just waiting for that last second. Then we got back on offense and got the pass interference which kept us alive. Followed by the Spike! and then IT happened!! The play of the year

Kudos to EcasadoSBU......he never gave up.  That was a total gift win.   Carbone's worst game of the year, and he was BAD, but he connected when it counted, so definitely redemption in play.  Congrats to SBU for playing the game down to the final play.

Should guarantee a home game next week; a bye is a stretch, but need some help.

Anyone have any status on Bolden's injury?
How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

Boy talk about front running. Everyone jumping off the ship and hanging the staff again. This team knows how to win tight games. Today was a gift for sure but you have to keep playing in order to put yourself in that position. The staff obviously gets these kids to play for them and buy in, if they didnt they would lose the close games. Down two rbs, top wr, and NFL talent at tackle but yet they scratched and clawed and found a way. That comes from coaching. These kids just dont go out there and do it by themselves. It really seems like some of u are not happy that they won because that guarantees that the coach is back and that is pretty sad. Preseason ranked 9 in the conference and now the are in line for a seeded bid. You dont accomplish that with bad coaching. You may not like the style they play but give some credit where it is do. Carbon dosent improve without good coaching. 9-2 with one conf loss and the other to USF who is 9-1. Stop acting like the man stole your money and root for real for this team. This program is on the up and the fact that some of u are miserable due to the fact that the coach will be coming back, well quite honestly that makes me happy. I am choosing now to enjoy your miserable hater comments knowing that sometimes your day is ruined by who coaches a 1 AA football team. Great day for SBU football !!!

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen i just finished watching the game my opinion we were horrible Coache p game plan Sucked you took these young men into battle with no game plan i said it and i will say it again COACH P play's to win but COACHES to lose. How can you expect to win games when he runs the same play's game after game. I would like to take my hat off to that DEFENSE. I no COACH P Will not tell you guys this. Thank you. The defense shut Maine down for almost 3 quarters. I don't want to hear s--t from you guys talking about we won again i will say this these young men wanted this more than the coaches

I don’t hate on Coach P like some do here openly, but the way we started today was not expected. There was no urgency, poor defense and offense, dropping catches, throwing bad...no excuses. But I am really happy we won. Whether Coach P will come back depends on what the athletic department decides. But he does deserve another year or two based on this year’s success. He may be predictive or out of ideas sometimes. But coaching is not just about that. There’s recruiting, developing, defense, offense, special teams. If we see in the next couple years that this year was Coach P’s ceiling.. then we will see. We have plenty of money to fire and eat a contract if needed. You don’t fire a coach who just had a 9-2 (7-1 in CAA) record.
