My prediction- look out for DL Josh Valentin who I think will have a big year

He's as strong as anybody in FCS- he's a raw talent but he bulked up to 300+ pounds this year. He's built like a tank and is a good kid. I know strength is one thing but if he gets his technique down, he's gonna be a monster for us.

I agree. Ive been following Josh since high school. He played both offense, TE and defense. He was a beast then and will be even more of a beast going forward..

If you guys haven't seen this, here's a video of Valentine benching 150 lbs dumbells with resistance bands. Ridiculous.

Overall I'm nervous about our depth on the defensive line. Love our starters, but I think there's only 6 d linemen that aren't incoming freshman. Seems like there is a good chance some true freshmen will get thrown to fire this fall.

Josh will play nose or tackle; he is to big to play DE his lateral movement at that weight on the edge wont work.... beast inside yes.

SBUFAN:  your concerns about the D line came into focus last night.  we don't have much depth there.  a blocked punt saved our bacon.  up to that time, our D line guys were gassed and needed a break.

And rs freshmen brandon lopez, who was on the pre-season two deep, was in a boot on the sideline. They dressed freshmen Kamara and Scarborough. I think they're going to have to play this season.

I'm not sure what game you watched but the one I watched showed a stout defense that made big plays when needed. Special teams are a big part of the game

We only gave up 177 total yards yesterday that's pretty good

Coach P. already has 5 commitments for the 2017 Class and they're waiting on a DE from St. Anthony's to commit
