Combines And Skills Camps On Long Island
« on: May 02, 2016, 12:12:28 am »
On Sunday I went to a HS Football Combine in Ronkonkoma that was attended by 120 players for the Class of 2017, 2018 and 2019 and I will post the results here the next couple of days.

Ethan Wiederkehr of SWR is 6'6 285 pounds and hold 16 DI offers

Gavin Olsen Manhasset is 6'8 348 pounds and has all the IVY Leagues recruiting him along with Stanford

Did you get a chance to talk to Wiederkehr about where he wants to go to college? I have a nephew who goes to the same school and he said Wiederkehr wanted to stay close to home. SB is in the mix..

For the Skills Camp that we're having at Sachem North on Sunday May 15 there are now 20 Colleges committed to being there so if you know any HS players from the Class of 2017/2018/2019 you should tell them to go to my website and they can get the registration form www.liblitz.com

Campi. Is this camp to show off an athlete's skills to college coaches or do they have coaches there who help with athletes training?? I am interested in signing my son up!

The College Coaches that will be there are there to not only see the players perform but to also instruct them as well and at the end of the Skills Camp the players will have an opportunity to talk to the Coaches about their Skills and what to work on.

The last 2 years that we've done this the feedback from the players and the parents has been all positive

In my opinion this would be excellent for your son (I think you said he's 2019 player) so that he knows what to work on as he continues to develop

At the combine this pat weekend a kid from Ward Melville Messina ran a 4.4 forty which was the fastest time out of 130 players

To get more players from the same HS to attend the rate is $100 per player if 6 or more players come. You can also call me on my cell at 631-415-3549 if you have any other questions

The 2 Skills camps this weekend were a big success as 20 Colleges were in attendance on Saturday and 24 on Sunday and a total of 180 players participated

The College Coaches loved it and this is very important for LI Football

On Sunday June 19 NFL Coach Mike Devlin will be holding his Lineman/TE Camp at Connetquot HS

As these Camps go along you start to get a feel on who are the top players from LI for the 2017 Class here are the ones that I like right now in no particular order;

Courtney Williams WR Central Islip, Kyle Nunez DL East Islip, Latrell Horton FB/MLB Longwood, Jack Coan QB Sayville committed to Wisconsin, Ethan Weiderkehr TE/DE SWR, Tyler Locicero PK/KO St. Anthony's, Dan Lord DE St. Anthony's, Tim Mullane DL/OL West Islip, Joseph Randazzo OL/DL Carey, Kevin Eversley LB Farmingdale, Corey Hill MLB Farmingdale, Jordan McLune RB Farmingdale, gavin Olsen OL Manhasset
