The O line will be work in progress; not a lot of game time experience left on the line...Real young

Got a lot of beef up front; let's see how there technique is coming along...

The line will need to have quick feet this season...

We have  two really good backs now so the O Line better be able to make holes without holding or missing an assignment.  Our run game could be very good with both speed and size that's what makes us go.

A little off topic but just saw this video of Chris Makulik bench presses. I'm not much of gym rat, but that's a ridiculous amount of weight/reps right?

Football players need to be quick strong agile athlete & no body lifters; most program are teaching quick twitch w high reps. The line needs to be quick n be able to reach for out side block.

Body builders are to stiff & not agile.....you can over lift & it works against you...

If we can keep our offence on the field against JMU would be great; they have a good mobile QB who can run & throw. It will be are issue playing them.
I am really looking forward to this game.Your strong defense against our quick strike offence.I think this JMU team will score a lot of points this year. But that quick pace puts a lot of pressure on our defense.Losing Moreland, Stallings and Ford is going to hurt. Go DUKES!!!
Discipline is the fuel for Success !

Issac Dixon, a former University of Oregon football player, was arrested early Saturday (5/16/15) morning by Eugene police following a physical altercation that involved his girlfriend.

Dixon, 23, faces fourth-degree assault charges, a misdemeanor crime in most instances.

Dixon remains lodged at the Lane County Jail.

Eugene Police responded to a dispute around 1:15 a.m. Saturday at an apartment at the Chase Village complex near Autzen Stadium.

Department spokeswoman Melinda McLaughlin said that a verbal dispute between Dixon and his 21-year-old girlfriend led to a physical altercation.

During that altercation, McLaughlin said Dixon “recklessly caused” an unspecified injury to his girlfriend’s nose.

Dixon, who hailed originally from Opa Locka, Fla., left the Oregon football team in February after four years.

At the time, reports were that he intended to transfer to another school when he completed his degree this year.

A reserve defensive back for most his career, Dixon played in two games in the 2014 season.

As a season ticket holder, you should be voicing your displeasure to the AD that you don't want these animals on our campus.

How pumped are you, now???????

Lax. I did not know that prior to my post. Yes, you're correct about bringing in other schools baggage when they have no need for them anymore. In Dixson case was he found guilty in a court of law?? If yes, he is a dead beat and should be striped of all scholarships. If found innocent he should be allowed to continue his football carrier! !!!!

Why would you bother voicing your displeasure to the AD.  He has to sign off on things like this and consequently these types of kids are vetted through the President's office.  Everyone at SBU is on board with this kid.

We will see what Newsdsy and the community have to say on this subject matter.

In my opinion, I'm not sure SBU cares about either. But you may be right.

This is a tough issue; this has always been around & now its being expose more. I would like to see all athlete & student go through a course or seminar for this growing issue.

I have seen  women also beating or throwing objects at men; this should never happen to anyone.

I would like to see a document were a student must sign off on this agreement with the university.

I am not in favor have this athlete coming to stony brook for his final year.
