some of these kids get stars in their eyes and think they can crack the starting lineup at an FBS school.  kinder is a perfect example.  but he spent four years on the bench.  if Fredericks comes to SBU, he is a starter by his second year.  there is no guarantee he will play at Syracuse.

I agree with you to some degree, BFF.  Stacey Bedell is another prime example.  But, in Fredericks's case (as well as Jordan Gowins's), I can't help wondering if they may have looked at what their brothers experienced and had second thoughts about SBU.

Jordan Fredericks has 30 TD and counting this season and still playing in the Playoffs for Lawrence . Just imagine, Bedell and the two Fredericks on the roster!. Jordan is also a kickoff specialist, something we seriously need.

Based upon what I've been able to discern so far, 2015 recruiting has not been immensely successful to date.  Here's a summary of what I've been able to pick up:

1) 18 offers to date
2) Of the 18, 9 have committed to other programs
3) Of the remaining 9, only 2 have committed to SBU (Synceir Malone (CB) from Iona Prep and Demarcus            Miller (S/LB/WR) from Archbishop Stepinac)
4) Of the remaining 7, 3 are RBs (including Hansen Award winner, Isaiah White), but none are OL, which I find kind of surprising--don't you?

Thanks for the update Gold. Actually, I dont really find it too surprising at all. Word is starting to get around SB coach P is losing his respect as a coach who  can compete in the CAA. If this is really the  case, then why would a talented, potential recruit choose SB over another FCS school in the North East!!...If this recruiting class is a bust then  my thesis will be supported and maybe it is time for a change with the higher up!

can somebody take a look at a couple of the sites for our CAA competition and see what kind of verbal commits they might be getting?  December should be the month to roll up the commitments, even if they are just verbal at this point in time.  you never know, there are probably some kids out there that are hoping they will get FBS offers, and when they dont, they will sign with FCS programs.  also, JC recruits.

I wonder if Coach P. and his staff have taken a look at UAB's roster to see if there are any Northeast region players that might want to transfer closer to home after demise of their football program.  Of course, academic credentials will have to be vetted.  But, maybe there will be one or two plums for the picking (a la Maysonet)

CAA news: Ex-Miami Hurricane/ New Jersey Native Kevin Olsen transferring to Towson....

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/12017045/former-miami-hurricanes-qb-kevin-olsen-transferring-towson-tigers

Coach P usually lands at 2 D1A transfers, I wonder what players are that short list?
