SB football website now shows all the new freshmen and transfers to the program.  we got a boatload of new kids, including two Frosh QBs.

Yea, but Bednarski and Kinder are the two favorites for the starting position.. Conar has a slight advantage because he has more experience on the field

My gut tells me Bednarski starts and  Kinder is our insurance policy for injuries or poor performance.

It's going to be Hernandez or Kinder; this is what i am hearing.  Footwork and the short game is there strength; Kinder has a real good deep ball.

Hernandez  is an interesting  pick.  Either way  we will have  a relative rookie  behind center ,

Greg Logan claims Kinder is the favorite. I don't think he would've came if he wasn't going to start.

yeah, OK, and the kid has not taken one snap for SBU, but according to Logan he's going to start.  I guess he's been talking to Coach P about that, cuz there is no on-field performance to back that up.   I get that he was a local hero some time ago, and there may be local sympathies surrounding that.  but I guess that's what preseason football is all about.  bring on the competition, I'm sure Hernandez and Bednarski are ready for that.  I just hope they actually get a shot, and the coaching staff has not "annoited" kinder due to his local roots.

Couldn't agree with you more, BFF!! I was kind of routing for Hernandez, myself.  But, I'm certainly willing to give Kinder a chance to prove himself during the summer practices and scrimmages.  If he turns out to be the best of the lot, so be it.

I think its just a local reporter trying to make a story about a local kid. Priore plays his cards pretty close to his chest

That said I think Kinder has a chance to surprise. I think he fits the system and he was stuck behind Nassib for most of career at Syracuse. Can't blame him too much for not getting snaps.

No SB player picked in either the Offense of Defense Preseason All CAA-Conference team..If we want to compete with the big boys then SB Coaches have better start doing a better job recruiting top FCS Athletes.. This school is way to good not to be competitive year in and year out in all NCAA Div1 sports!!!!!

CAA came at a tough time for SBU. We joined right as the last of the influx of talent from Hofstra graduated. Just like anything else we'll have to prove that we can win week in week out. Thankfully preseason rankings mean nothing. With guys like Heilbron and Priore at the helm there is always reason to be hopeful! Go Wolves!

Good point sbupatriots, I really hope Heilbron has a good following of people and is highly respected because we sure could use some Pac12 Athletes wanting to go to school on the east coast!!

no one said it was going to be easy.  we have to put up, or shut up.

we have to beat the teams ahead of us in the polls, clear and simple. Its good for the boys to have a chip on their shoulder, no respect from the CAA coaches, so lets show them on the field.  go Wolves!!

I think that Wil Tye should have gotten some attention in the CAA list, he is a beast, and proved it last year.
