Stony Brook intercepts at the Towson endzone... follows up with a nice drive for touchdown. Im happy. They didnt screw it up despite the holdin penalty, etc

were giving up big plays but towson is failing to capitalize.  this is a big game for us. conference rival, a team that recently killed it in FCS, and lets face it, towson is kinda "SB south".

watching on sny and the commentary is very kind to SB.  thats a nice departure from the norm.  ;D

I cant believe it. We finally got iur first D I win of the season. As bad as the offense was, the defense was out there coverin their asses and we held on for a win at towson. Now our kids can come back home with renewes hopes against Maine. We need 7 wins or win the CAA to get into the playoffs. Right now only a miracle but watever. Lets go seawolves

After 6 games, I think I can conclusively state that the most valuable player on the team is.............Luke Allen. A consistent punter all season so far, Luke has clearly mastered the difficult art of pooch punting. Consistently pinning the other team inside their own 10 yard line is an invaluable asset and consistently changes the complexion of the game. I really believe he is the best pooch punter in the entire FCS.

I wont be able to attend the Maine game as I have a family event. Please message me if interested. I really dont want it to go to waste so if ya can find anyone interested let me know.

GO SEAWOLVES!

Great game yesterday.  All three phases of the game worked well.  Bednarski led two long drives but only one resulted in a score.  Some questionable calls against us by the refs near the end of the game left me thinking "here we go again".  We now have the No 1 D in FCS. I feel like the O is settling in behind Bednarski's leadership.  Our punting by Allen continues to be flawless and that has truly saved the day.  Still question Coach P running the ball into the heart of the Towson D THREE times before Bedell fumbled.  It seemed like a naked bootleg by QB would have resulted in an easy score, with no defenders out wide and us on the far hash mark.

I was at the game yesterday, really enjoyed the experience.

The defense played terrific (as usual), the offense wasn't awful, and special teams was fine.  The wind on the field was a lot stronger than it seemed, you could see it on kickoffs and punts.

I'm still aggravated about the coaching staff.  Towson had a 4th and 22, you know they are looking for the pass interference, and that any contact would make the WR flop faster than an Italian in the World Cup. Why are we pressing at the line?  Just defend the first down marker, don't give the refs any reason to throw the flag.  That's on the coaches.

I'm really getting tired of up-the-middle draw plays on 3rd and long.  We know you're going to do it.  They know you're going to do it.  If you're going to do that, avoid the risk of fumble/injury and just punt.

On a personal note, the SBU fans in attendance were excellent.  We were surrounded by fans who actually know whats going on, and who cared throughout the game. That made the experience that much better.

It was very strange to see the stands be virtually empty, shows you how disappointed the Towson fans must be.

Big Fan:  O ya I wouldn't have missed it; Connor had to drive down for the game due to he is on IR I couldn't believe he couldn't travel with the team. He wouldn't missed this game for anything he is really bummed he couldn't play; he had several friends that play for Towson & this was his home game.

It was great weather for football; i no sometimes you scratch your head on the O play calling; but they have a Win.

I be up next week...
