Really looking forward to the trip up there, weather looks great for football game.  Its a must win for us and a spoiler for SB.  With your defense and our offense it looks to be one of the best games yet in CAA football.

Hello Stony Brook fans,This game pits the #3 scoring offense vs the #1 scoring defense. The #1 rushing offense vs the #1 rushing defense. The #3 pass offense vs the #1 pass defense. The #1 total offense vs the #1 total defense. The #1 in first downs vs the #1 in opponents first downs.12th vs 3rd in TOP.JMU runs an average of 84 plays a game to 63 for SBU.i have watched SBU play twice.A hard nosed old fashioned tough football team.Three really good running backs and a great defense.SBU`s advantages, playing at home, coming off of a bye week,(the fourth team that the Dukes have faced after a bye) and the W&M game tape. The difference in this game may come down to Lee vs Bednarski. At least I hope so....Go DUKES !!!!

Thanks PR!  Are those FCS #s, or CAA #s?  I believe they are FCS...

Although making the postseason is always the goal, winning the last three games against JMU (very possible), Rhody (almost certain) and Albany (very possible) would make this season a success. 7-5 overall and more importantly, 6-2 in conference, would be alright with me

Chairman of the Board; Those stats are from the CAA SPORTS web page. I am really looking forward to this game.SBU is kind of the style we played under Micky Matthews.Under Withers we are no huddle, fast paced. It`s fun to watch, but the our defense suffers under the style. They spend a lot of time on the field.Withers started with three down linemen and has now mostly went back to a four man front. Our DE`s have played much better since the change. Is this game available to watch on the SBU WEB SITE ? I heard that it is free. Go DUKES!!!!

No way that game should have been lost!!  Yikes!!  It just seems that anytime we're in a crunch at the end with a chance to win, there's a serious penalty turnover or some other catastrophe.

That said, the offense looked the best it has all year, and Coker seems back to where everyone expected him to be.  The Seawolves were doomed by a couple of unfortunate drops, a bad play call on the 4th down at the 1-yd line and total inability to reign in the elusiveness of the JMU QB (What a talent that kid is!!!).  I think he's even better than Villanova's QB!!

I have said this before and it just is crazy we don't have one KO kicker who can put the ball in (or even near) the end zone-with some consistency. We have 4 kickers on the team (not including the freshman) and it embarrassing to see just how poor we are on KOs. Popek's kick-off near the end of the second quarter going out of bounds helped set-up the FG before half and then his short KO help set up on one of the TD's was just bad. Allen even had a 10 yard punt that set-up another one. Not one of the better showing for Thompson's Special Teams group.

Once again, the opponents make half time adjustments and shut us down.  And we respond by doing the same old thing:  running into the middle of the line for no gain!!  Looked like a replay of the Towson game, first and goal from the two yard line and we don't score.  Play calling on that series was horrible, three runs into middle of line.  Why not run a naked bootleg with Bednarski to the far pylon?? Then we get the ball with over four mins left in game and use three running plays to waste more time.  I put this loss on the offensive play calling, not the boys

This game is probably the best Ive seen all year with the Offense. Cotos to Bednarski..He looked comfortable, poised and accurate all game long. We lost because of our coaching staff and not our players, once again. I hate to say it but, If this team ever has a shot at making the FCS Playoffs again, there needs to be a coaching change.. Same mistakes all season long with play calling. Our defense got beat up today all for nothing... I'm disgusted!!!!!

Another heart breaker. I'm still recovering. What a bad second half. WE had this game. I won't comment much... But I'm wondering who's idea was it to make FG fake when you are up 24-20... We could've gone 27-20 and the game would've a different outcome... or atleast OT

Bright side: I was able to take a couple of selfies with Dr. Stanley! Also was able to lead the student section (Empty lol) from the podium. hahaha

I'll be there to close it out against Rhody next week. Hopefully I also make to Albany and spoil their party.

Always a Seawolf no matter what! Go Wolves!!!

Great game, both teams played to win. Was one of the best games I've gotten to watch all season. I thought after the first half it was going to be a SB win for sure, but JMU seems to be able to make those last quarter come backs.  Have say it was some of the worst officiating I've seen for both sides, WOW do they need instant replay  in the CAA.   SB fans very nice and a great stadium, weather was great for football.  Only bad thing was the 7+ hr drive, how do you guys take that traffic on the LIE.  Looking forward to next year in Oct back in the Burg.

Hi all, just came on to thank the Stony Brook folks for a great game day experience. The SBU staff who set up and managed the bar at the JMU tailgate were great! Everyone, from the tailgate hospitality folks, to the ticket takers to concessions, fans in and around the stadium, police, and the staff at the bar by the train station were incredibly friendly and welcomed us to Stony Brook. You guys have a good facility, good fans, and a good team. Hope you have success, except when you face JMU, of course! I look forward to coming back.

I'm glad ya had a great time at Stony Brook. It was a solid supportive crowd from JMU. Definitely shows that JMU has a relatively large and proud fan base. Obviously I'm not too happy about the way we lost, but it was a great competitive ball game. Nothing to be ashamed of. JMU played a great game and deserves a ton of credit pulling off such a comeback. Best of luck in the last couple of CAA games. Lastly, I hope we beat ya next year ;)
