Not surprised we are ranked high, cause we are a legit program now. As far as Negron goes he is a pretty good athlete, has good feet, and good speed. He ran a spread in juco so he can run if he has too. His arm is stronger than you would think. I do not expect to see the same deep ball that Essington threw but I believe he can be efficient. And who knows they might like him better as a back up if somebody else steps up. Running game and defense will take us were we need to go, it's a recipe for success. Not scared of the CAA, bring it !!!

maybe just maybe...

our team is so good that it wont matter if negron is a stud or not.  our OL can carry the team.  or we could have a back like maysonet that is a game breaker.  or a lights out defense.  or special teams comes up with a big play.  or a prepared coaching staff.

fortunately- we have all of those already.  GO SB

I'm sure the Buffalo game can be seen on TV somewhere .. Maybe stream it from the University's web site ????

UB home openers the last few seasons have aired on Time-Warner Cable SportsChannel in Upstate, so it would be exclusive to UB steaming and ESPN3 elsewhere. The MAC has a cool central area for streaming links from all MAC schools as well as to MAC ESPN3 media to make things convenient:

Interesting. 7th. I'll take it. Its expected from the coaches to put the new guys in the bottom. But look who's at the top spot: Villanova.

And who did we beat last year? VILLANOVA

Ha... Let's just say I'm looking forward to the season

Also interesting to note that not a single SBU player was voted to the pre-season all CAA offensive or defensive teams!!  Go get  'em, Seawolves!!

I think the CAA is in for a few surprises from us, if a 7th place finish is how they view us this season.

1. Villanova (11)
2. Towson (3)
3. New Hampshire (3)
4. Richmond (1)
5. James Madison (4)
6. Delaware
7. Stony Brook
8. Maine
9. William and Mary
10. UAlbany

We are much better than this poll.  But it is the price  you pay for being the new guy on the block.   I expect to see us in the  post season playoff s and shock a few people, after all we are ranked 11th the highest of any CAA team

I take this 7th place finish in the CAA as a real slap in the face..... Where do they come off totally disrespecting us out of the gate..... Do these coaches know who we are ???? We are the Seawolves and we are a force to be reckoned with.. We've basically owned the Big South for the last 4 years and made the playoffs the last 3, I believe.... We came really close to beating Montana st. in the second round of the 2012 playoffs. We man handled Army. We came dangerously close to beating Orange, all for what ! 7th place in the pre polls ? Is this all because we lost miguell and Big Mike to the NFL??? Please.. Didn't these coaches get the memo we replaced big Mike with Arthur Dokes, Pittsburgh power house tackle. Didn't they get the memo we replaced Miguell with FBS transfer Poteat from Cincinnati...  DON'T THESE COACHES GET IT WE ARE THE SEAWOLVES AND WE DON'T SETTLE FOR 7TH PLACE !!!!!

O.K. I feel better now !!!!!
