People on twitter are reporting that Ousmane Camara from Bay Shore has committed to the Brook. That's a big time addition as he had a Big Ten offer on the table from Purdue. With Camara and Haggart, Stony Brook is doing a great job keeping LI's best talent at home.

Great news SBUFAN!!! Thanks for keeping us up to date. I'm glad SBU is recruiting such high level talent.

The more Long Islanders we get on that team the more local fans that will follow SBU Football.

If we get him, he's a 3-star recruit with offers from Purdue, Buffalo, and James Madison. Was getting piles of interest from elsewhere - notably Syracuse, Temple, and Maryland.

It's a clear sign how far we've come, that we're able to get guys like him. Very, very impressive work by Priore and his crew.

Exciting news. A lot has to happen in the next four years, but he's already got the size to play linebacker in the NFL.

Stony Brook is the Pride of Long Island!

Love the little jab at that "other" Long Island school...

Camara is no joke, big and nasty. Watched him play a few times, kid is for real. Priore's is some salesman. Another possible recruit from Bayshore to keep an eye on is WR McKinley Skinner 6'5" 195.

Have you seen any confirmation of this anywhere?  I've looked hard, but so far no luck.  I hope it's for real, though.

I have said this many seasons now.  Our good guys graduate and I wonder  who will ever replace them and more talent just rolls in. This kid could be a real star in he CAA.

Found it on twitter, two of his teammates said it on the 9th. Though today Camara tweeted that UConn visited. This kid could change things here, fast.

Oh, I have faith in Priore to convince him. I was talking about him changing our athletic pedigree. I think the defensive POY for fcs..is it Buck Buchanan?

I got a chance to see him play.  This kid is legit, and would be a great fit for any scheme (that said, given our reliance on the front 4 to get pressure, he could become a centerpiece player for SBU).

On a side note, I love that Priore has made it a focus to keep the local kids.  Thats something that builds community and a builds a "franchise" and a future.

Camara of Bayshore and RB Tyler Fredericks of Lawrence both have committed to SB. I do not have anything to post, but I have an inside guy with the program and he spoke with both players high school coaches and they both confirmed.
