From Greg Logan "Stony Brook coach Chuck Priore says RB Jamie Williams (ribs) out 4 wks & starting LB Grant Nakwaasah suspended for Towson game". We can't catch a break.

So basically our NFL prospect and starting RB Coker is out for the year. Our backup to Coker, Jamie Williams is out for 4 weeks. That leaves Poteat who hasn't shown his STARS yet, and our Freshman Tyler Fredericks who is green to our Depth chart!. Looks like our running game is officially done for this year..  Our starting defensive line is half gone to injuries and now disciplinary issues,,,  Yikesss, this sickens  me just writing !!!

Bernard is the only def lineman that is down, Nakawaasa is a LB. As far as the RB situation goes I think we all agree that it is wide open as that Williams did not secure the starting spot. A lot of us on here have been wanting to see Kenner get a shot and now it seems like he will. You got to turn negatives into positives, the sky is not falling, we have just suffered a lot of injuries. This might be a year were young guy's get a lot of seasoning and we will be better for it the next couple of years.

I agree with Chrissy. The more playtime the young guys get the more likely we are to be a better team. So that's good in a way even though we may suffer the consequences. Hopefully two or three of these guys have a break out season starting tomorrow. Hey, you never know! ;)

We have all of our receivers healthy and negron is throwing well..

But what's the deal with ALL the late afternoon starts for the home games.  That stinks. Who's ideas was thar? 6 and 4 pm starts?  Is la Valle doing something else earlier in the afternoons on game day?

They pushed back start times a couple of years ago and it has made a huge difference with attendance. As the season goes the times get earlier. The late times allow a lot more families from the island to attend due to the fact that there child's youth sports are over well before the game starts. This has also allowed the tail gaiting to become more of a part of the gameday atmosphere. I for one love the late starts cause that means more adult beverages and food. Just because the team is banged up doesn't mean you can't have fun in the parking lot.

6pm is a must. that means all my buddies and I can get trashed in the lot by gametime ( LOL )... and tailgating goes hand in hand with football. A team could suck, but if the tailgating is good people will still come. I hope the homecoming tailgate is as good as it was last year.

This is at the expense of the people that have a long drive but I think overall is better for all. I myself have to catch the 10:17PM LIRR train back to New York so I'll be getting home after 1AM... No worries. Lets go Seawolves

speaking of imbibing a few adult beverages in the parking lot... i cant make it today as im really under the weather.  however, i will be out next week- so, we might have to arrange another summit with JoeBilly, CDC, and also Crazy Eddie!!!
