Liblitz.com is reporting PK,P Lucas Santangelo of New Hyde Park is committed to Stony Brook along with Mike White from East Islip.

I found this on Santangelo. I know nothing about kicking but the stats look good to me. http://www.nationalcampseries.com/profile.asp?id=2116&eventid=1

Safety Abiade Granger from Florida just verbally committed. He's a two-star and chose SB over Florida International. Always good to get a kid over an FBS school.

Another 2 star DB from florida, Deshawn Lindsay, also committed to the Brook. He picked us over a couple MAC schools: Bowling Green, Central Michigan.

Now, THAT's impressive. Coker is the top recruit the program ever got to this point. Coxson is the second 4-star recruit (after Kibungu?), both from U of Maryland. SBU Also received a verbal from Jaheem Woods of NJ, a QB who passed for 15 TDs and ran for 15 TDs. A running QB can be a very valuable commodity.

Coker is an immediate FCS player of the year candidate. He's fourth on the all time list at Iowa for yards in season and was a Second Team all Big Ten selection last year as a true sophomore. He'll eventually get drafted.

Coxson is the highest rated out of high school transfer we've ever had. ESPN had him as the 101 best prospect in the country coming out of high school. That's CRAZY.

We don't have an FCS roster: Gush had FBS offers but only came to Stony Brook because his dad had got the defensive coordinating job here. Norrell was a starter in the PAC 10 as a true frosh at Washington State. Coxson could have gone to any school in the country out of high school (initially signed with Florida but decided in August before camp to stay closer to home and go to Maryland). Maysonet had Big East offers but wanted to stay close to home. Coker is an all Big Ten RB.

We are going to have the best offensive skill players in FCS football.

If you can rush for 1300+ yards and 15 TD's in the Big 10 I can't wait to see what he can do in the Big South.   Now it makes sense why Crossan chose UNH over the Brook.

We still have to keep Maysonet and Cruz happy. Speed and power  with a huge O Line -nice!

Maysonet will get plenty of touches imo but Cruz is going to have to play the slot, KR, & PR if he wants to see the ball.

Yeah I think Maysonet and Coker will split carries the same way Maysonet and Jackolski did this past season. I hope they find a role on offense for Cruz because the kid has talent, his numbers given his limited carries last season are pretty remarkable. Having too much talent is a good problem to have though.

They are still talking about having Cruz be that "Leon Washington" type, a ridiculous returner who gets a handful of touches as a pass catching/change of pace RB.

I know they screwed around with him as a CB, but when you average over 11 yds/carry, it's tough to keep you off the field.

The offense looks outstanding, the only problem is there is only one football to go around.  Having multiple WR's and RB's is a great problem to have, and it'll keep our team really fresh throughout the season.  Good luck tackling those guys in late November, in the cold, after 11 games and 50 offensive snaps...
