Liberty loses against Coastal Carolina. A Great day for Stony Brook football. I missed the matchup on ESPN3 after a long night but I'm replaying it now.

RealtimeRPI has SBU at #91 after the Presbyterian win...ahead of about 35 FBS schools.

Game overall was kinda what was expected.  Presbyterian was missing their MLB, and just didn't have the talent to stop us.  The gameplan was solid, they didn't show anything that they hadn't already used, and they're building nicely to the playoffs.  Not really a whole lot to say about this one.

My three stars of the game:

* Kevin Norrell.  I was critical of him earlier in the year, and on a weekly basis he's proving me wrong.  He's improved his route running (no longer just a deep threat), especially his short curls/out-routes.  He's also trying to help the db's on the sidelines.  Not sure how much it helps, but the fact that he's doing shows the kind of attitude he's got.

** Miguel Maysonet.  He runs for over 200 yards and 2 TD's, and could've had more.  He just gets better as the season goes on.

*** Coach Priore.  Regardless of outcome, the call to go for the TD right before the half was a good one.  He trusted his guys, Presbyterian just made a good play.  Love the fact that he didn't think twice about it.

Has anyone else really liked what they've seen from Coker the last couple weeks? I didn't know he had the wheels he showed on that 58 yard run against Prebsyterian Saturday.

Yes, Coker played a great game. He is improving each game which is good to know. I think this was his best game all season. He did great and lets hope he becomes the outstanding player at this level we all want him to be.

I wouldn't expect Coker to be declaring for the NFL draft after this season. It 's important to the program to have him back next year.
