Whatever happened.. our AD definitely agreed.

Fiore probably wanted to get rid of a game from the first four away games, anyway. And as soon as BC called Fiore probably said "Sure.. but we get to visit you next year". I hope we didnt give up without a promised game @BC next year or in near future. Then its a win win situation. We give our team a break from the tough schedule and still play them in future.

Lets just see what happens. Lehigh also has an opening on 8/31.

that blows big time.  wonder who initiated that change.  seemed like BC was a winnable game for us.  granted, starting the season off with four straight road games was the pits.

As much as I want to believe BC chnaged their schedule is because of the total humiliation it would have been for them because we would have put a woopen on them but, I think the 4 away games to start  the season was a bit to much. We will probably have our first game of the season at home but with whom ???????

its just a bit deflating to lose that game, since its relatively close and an FBS game to boot.  Funny that SB would announce their schedule then change it.  I'm hating Nova more and more already.   hopefully its a high caliber FCS team, and not from the lower tire groupings.

Guys this is good news. We need to have an early home game, it's important in building the fan base. Any FCS gm to open the season at home will be big for the program. Playing a month on the road to open the season doesn't do anything to pull in fans. Losing the money sucks, but packing out Lavalle will bring in money too. Besides Hammer the tailgaits are much better in the warm weather ( I'll have that "Cheeseboro sandwich ready for you"). As long as they don't bring in a D2 team it's all good.

I'm good with the home game. I definitely prefer an early home game in the season and introducing our freshmen to College Football in the first week rather than in the fifth. It is what it is!

Lets go Seawolves! can't wait

i heard that BC may have asked out of the game, seeing they have a new coach, had a horrible season last year, and were pitted up against one of the best FCS teams in Game 1.  BC goes to LA and plays USC in week 3 or 4, so they might have been looking for a way to lighten up their schedule, hence Nova.

Rumor on twitter is that we are trying to work out a Home-Home 2-year deal with Sam Houston.

Yes, it's official. We were replaced with Villanova. Now we have to find another opener.

They probably opted out against us.  They played Army  the weel after we did at Army. Their scouts saw us   roll over them  and were not looking forward to 2013.  Sam Houston  would be a gret match up  and great opener plus thats  six home games.
