Years ago Cuomo banned any NYS School from traveling to NC I don’t believe he has lifted that ban it has something to do with transgender issues

That is correct!!

The more I read about it, the more I see it has severely impacted athletics. Albany had to cancel a game at Duke back in 2016, and 13 SUNY Students got screwed when it came to competing at the DIII swimming championships in NC. They had to fly in to Virginia and drive an hour back and forth to the hotel every day, for four days. Meant they had to wake up earlier and have all their routines thrown off, compared to their competition.

Cuomo is a POS. I really dont know how he keeps getting reelected. He is screwing all the High School athletes playing contact sports. Dozens of Assemblymen and Congressman in NYS wrote letters of appeals to Cuomo to allow them to play. He so far is ignoring all requests. Meanwhile, in adjoining States, schools are playing. What a Dic%.....

drove by bridgeforth today.  if you dont think that university will be FBS in the next few years, you got another thing coming.

The JMU AD, who by all accounts is a real piece of ****, has made it clear they intend on becoming an FBS school sooner, rather than later.

I don't know what sh*tty things he's done, but regardless, he has his school better positioned for FBS than Heilbron has.

women's lax got a bad seeding in the NCAA because of the bathroom bill.  they couldnt be matched against UNC, and then later, of course... well you know the story.
There are 29,413,039 corporations in America; but only one Chairman of the Board.

Cuomo sucks for that, but you can also blame Shawn for not fighting hard enough for his athletes. They just let the shitbag Cuomo walk all over them and screw our team.

I heard that they got screwed seed wise but never knew it was due to Cuomo and his ban on NC. Why is that not more publicized? Did the Statesman write a piece on it? How about Newsday, or the Post? Anyone? Bueller?

Hearing from a source that more and more FCS teams are considering not playing this Spring. An announcement on opt-outs for certain teams is expected to happen later this week. Midwest-Westcoast schools.

Despite the fact that it's an FCS program, JMU is tied with Minnesota, Clemson, and Alabama for sixth-most active players in the AFC/NFC Championships. They're just built differently.

JMU is also in an area that has a lot of talent that they can recruit from.

The 2021 New York HS Football Class lost over 40 of their Top Players to other states (especially to the NJ Catholic Schools) and once a player leaves the state they get more exposure that leads to more opportunities so schools like SBU are at a disadvantage when it comes to home grown talent. As an example the top 8th grade QB in the Country is from Cold Spring Harbor and he will attend IMG Academy as a 9th grader and with the success of the Freeport players other LI kids are thinking of doing the same.

Do you think if SB has the opportunity to go FBS would some of these players stay home and play for SB??

I think if SBU goes FBS there are a ton of players from every state that would think about coming here because we are actually in a nice area to go to college
