ECU has a history as a fairly prominent independent back in the day 70s through the mid 90s. They were also the first G5 team to ever be ranked in the top 20 by the College Football Playoff committee just four years ago. They've got a massive stadium, amazing fan following, and good recruiting area. The only tough thing about turning that place around is that you have UCF, USF, Cinci, and Temple all in that same division who are all fairly hot programs right now. That's why I don't think it will be easy for him. If he gets them turned around he'll be at the top of the list for any P5 openings that come up 3-4 years from now.
