I think we are all hoping for a great year. I saw some nice plays at the Spring Game. 17- Marshall I believe will be JC's new "ray B". Made some nice catches and runs great routes.  Saw NC hit that 49 yard FG that could have been good from 52 and the RB's had some nice gains.

The only "negative" I saw were on the snaps from center. I counted 4 or 5 really low and poor outside snaps and I know this is still the Spring game- but gesshhhhh, maybe Detorie was out?

I don't see us hitting a 10 win this season .  If lucky we may have 7 or 8 wins by November .

We graduate a ton of people and the schedule is much tougher this year. My expectation is six wins. If we can hit that and are competitive in the losses, maybe Priore can make a case to stick around, but anything less and he needs to be shown the door. I'm tired of this five win BS. We should be winning at least seven games each year and knocking on the door of the playoffs annually. No reason to only win 5 games a season with the kind of talent we have in this program, even in the CAA.

I agree. If SH gives Priore an extension on his contract you could pretty much expect the same every season. I've been an advocate for years to bring in new talent in the head coaching department and I still stick with that assessment.

At Saturday's Spring game there were over 200 HS Juniors in attendance from all over the east coast and by their tweets they were very impressed with the coaching staff and facilities so Coach P is got to be doing something right and there will be 2 or 3 transfers coming in soon from FBS Schools.

WR Marshall Ellick is a graduate transfer who came to us from Temple, and he has quickly established himself as a superior route runner with excellent hands. After the loss of Ray Bolden and Harrison Jackson, we needed an experienced playmaker. It looks like we found one in Marshall.

CB Jabari Reddock is a young guy who is making a statement this spring. The secondary was hit hard by graduation, but the redshirt freshman from Maryland is proving to be a major piece in the secondary.

No the players I'm talking about are not here as in previous years players do their Spring Football and then once it's over and players realize they're not part of their current teams plans they transfer out and go to another school. I believe 1 or 2 of SBU players announced they are transferring in the last couple of days and Coach P has picked up players in the past from FBS Schools who are looking to move on that's how we got OL Myles Zimmerman 2 years ago. I would not be surprised shortly to see a linemen or two transfer in.

Well. I do give Coach P and his staff credit for at least back filling some slots that he thinks we need. Looking forward to hearing who they are.

Hey Chairman of the Board of all the things you should be pointing out about on this site Punctuation shouldn't be one of them

In other words with all the garbage people post about and your going to throw digs because I left off some commas give me a break

I will never put a comma on anything I ever put up again just because I feel like it and know it bothers you

I think his only point is that it’s difficult to follow when it’s one big sentence. Since writing is the basis of this forum, intentionally writing poorly is not getting your thoughts across very well.

I agree I should have handled it better on my end and by the way it was one big run on sentence.

I would however like to make a point about the posting on this site. When a person starts a topic they would like responses to be about their topic and not something that has nothing to do with their original post.

If you start a post about the 2018 schedule and now I want to talk about Coach P and whether or not he should be fired I should start a new post on Coach P's contract status and not change your original topic to suit me.

all good points. I was sitting with the Nolans after the Spring Game and asked them why they chose SB especially all the way from GA. I did not know this but their son had two offers from SEC schools and three others.

They said their son wanted to be a chemical molecular engineer and SBU had a very good one and the others did not. They said on one home visit the SEC HEAD COACH asked him why he did not to play for a national Championship contention for the next four years. They said their told him "Coach I am focused not on the next 40 years just not the next four". They said he is graduating with honors in May.

They also said that Coach TT was the second reason (and Coach P) had not even contacted him after his visit  (which should also tell us something). And yes, I understand to might be a budgeting issue- but not even a phone call afterwards from the HC?

Its kind of a shame that we don't highlight these kids during the Season- and only focus on the new kids coming in as to why these choose SB. Granted the new kids are important in the marketing of the program- but one would think to ask the upperclassman (not just the Captains) why they chose SB. So while the coaching staff might need an upgrade, the marketing "staff" could use one as well.

Very cool- thanks for sharing. Marc has been such an outstanding player for us.

Campi.. I could care less if you use commas, punctuation Marks, hashtags, lol's, whatever.. You bring valuable information pertaining to SB football and that is all I look at. Keep it coming even with no commas!!!
