Just saw Coach P's picks for next season's captains.  Are you all as surprised as I am that Liotine isn't one of them?

The article states the players voted for the captains. With that in mind, I have no issue with the captains. We really have no idea what's going on within the locker room and what the dynamic between the players themselves is like.

The final rankings come out today. Curious to see where we wind up. Hoping to best our 2012 squad and finish 9 or higher.

We finished at 11. Dropped 1 spot. Figured that after the poor performance from Carbone.

I'm not one to make excuses following a terrific year but that oddball early James Madison playoff matchup was just bad luck. New Hampshire's playoff schedule, in contrast, was much more favorable (they finished at 12).

I get that, we definitely got screwed (and JMU did too on paper if you look at it), but I'm of the opinion that if you want to win the national title, you're going to have to play and beat some really good teams eventually. Either you beat those teams, or beat the teams that did beat those teams, so there's truly no easy out if you ask me. You'll have to play the great teams eventually. Early or late, doesn't make a huge difference.

Definitely, I only meant that in terms of our eventual ranking (and whether we might have beaten that 2012 ranking of 9)...I think New Hampshire was helped by their playoff schedule (in terms of their end of season  national ranking). Not saying it matters much at all in any case. Great season either way.

parris to get drafted? http://stonybrookathletics.com/news/2018/3/15/together-we-transform-blog-together-we-transform-thursday-march-15-2018.aspx?path=blog
I hope he does but he didn't perform at the NFL Combine in front of every NFL scout because if his ankle. That is going to hurt his stock.. I think he goes undrafted.

We've gotten our hopes up on so many guys getting drafted in the past but they just haven't panned out. I wouldn't get my hopes up that high, though him being a left tackle in a draft that's light at that position helps him.
