In scanning the Giants' preseason games so far, I've not found that Tye has brrn in on any plays from the huddle.  I've only seen him on a few special teams situation.

As for Bamiro, in the last two games he's only been in on the last couple of series with the third-stringers.

So, I guess that will have to speak for itself.

well its finally game week.  here's to beating Toledo.  will be interesting to see if Coach P makes any adjustments from previous two years in the CAA to try and mix things up.  story in NewsDay over the weekend indicated lots of pressure on football program to perform at a higher level than the first two seasons in CAA.

Depth chart for Toledo : http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/ston/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/2015-16/depth_chart_event/depth_chart_20150831aaa.pdf

Connor Davis was moved to the offensive line and is started at right tackle. Dylan Joslin was moved from over the from the defensive line to back up at right guard. I'm not sure i understand what an "anchor" on defense is supposed to be. Is the plan to play a base 3-4?

It sucks that they moved Connor so many times due to weakness within this team; this kid can flat out play TE...

Tell me if I'm way off base here.  But, since there is nobody at all listed at at TE, is it possible that the plan is to have Connor at tackle to beef up the blocking, while still declaring him as an eligible receiver?

In Coach P's system, the Y and the T are his Tight Ends.  These are the positions that Nehls and Tye played last season.
Unfortunately, the team was caught this summer being substantially undermanned at the offensive line. They had a commitment from the lineman from Fordham and then I guess he decided to pursue other plans.
As for Connor Davis, the young man is to be highly commended for his commitment to this team.  Being moved around from position to position each season I am sure is a challenge. Kudos to Connor for accepting this challenge.

Kudos to Connor for making the switch, I am sure its very frustrating to have been told last winter that he would be a TE, only to find out when reporting to camp that the Coaching staff was unable to secure much depth on the O line.  and this is kind of surprising for a run-first coach like P to have a shortage of OL linemen.  remember last year, we were forced to start redshirt freshman at OL, and we had lots of growing pains with that move.  now this year, we are just flat out thin at OL.  I just cant believe its because one transfer got a better offer from a bigger program that has placed us in this unfortunate position.  fingers crossed for this season once again.

Connor & Jackson will both play OL & TE; they both have 2 differnt jerseys.....

They have set plays established this year.....I hope he gets a chance in the passing game; he really looked crisp going into camp. The match up against a 6ft8" 270# TE would be a problem for the secoundary.

This team is very thin on the OL; I hope they can stay healthy.
