I noticed that Dimitry Russ is not on the Spring roster.  Anyone know why?

Looks like we had a hiccup on this one.

We can't say Senator Lavelle isn't trying! !. Coumo also Vetoed $2 million for an indoor work out facility. ..

How are we ever going to compete in Div1 sports if we can't make improvements  to our existing facilities and give the Athletes a place to work out in the winter!  Let's hope some wealthy contributor has 24 million dollars to give to SB Athletes for the expansion and a dome type workout facility. .

that is going to put a delay into the AD's plans to beef up our athletic facilities.  what a shame.  Cuomo had the gall to call this "pork" .  I guess we know where he stands on athletics and academics.  apparently does not seen a nexus between the two.

It's a unfortunate that Cuomo vetoed the upgrades, but it's great to know that facility improvements are a priority for the school and local politicians. I have feeling it still gets done sooner than later.

We still have 5.7 million tucked away  from last year for additional seating , restrooms and concession stands on the visitors side.  That will add 2300 to 2500 seats making the stadium  over 10k in seats. So we will see what happens going forward .  A 22.2  million dollar expansion is huge and I don't think we need that now.  We now have 8300 seats  so if we go to 10,800 and fill it  every game  then maybe  15k  or higher is worth it .  Remember  the whole stadium as it is now cost 22 million .

I'm sure our new AD was pretty disappointed to hear the news.  this would have been a real big splash for him to make within the first year of taking over the athletic dept.  Now its on to Plan B I assume.  every good leader has a Plan B in his back pocket.  I wonder if Albany has in indoor field for winter workouts.  the newspapers and bloggers were bashing this line item as "pork".  not sure I see it that way.  I would assume the SBU president was on board with redirecting the funds from a technical center to the La Valle upgrades.

Twitter reports that Wil Tye has had pre-draft workouts with Chargers, Packers, Bills and Falcons.

Earlier, it was reported that Adrian Coxson has worked out with Giants, and was impressive at a mini camp.

I urge all of you to take a serious look at this worthy cause and strongly consider making a donation.  our Football boys are working hard to make this fundraiser a success, but they need your help.  the fund raiser wraps up next week.  Alumni, and former SB football players, consider helping out here.
