I'll be eagerly anticipating his fight in a couple weeks here. Would be huge for him if he won clearly.

I had the opportunity to visit the new SBU indoor facility and in my opinion it is State of the Art. The only thing you really canít do is punt. In talking to the players they all love it

Stony Brook is close to the bottom of the CAA in recruiting again this year. This team will have a difficult time competing for the conference championship if they struggle bringing in multiple highly recruited athletes.

Thatís not correct as the players might not all have starís next to their name but everyone will be on the field by their redshirt year. As an example 3 of the players that committed are already on campus and from what I saw today with their off season training underway they look in tremendous shape. There are currently 81 players on the Spring Roster.

A lot of the players that were hurt last year are all healthy and training right now and in my opinion this team can win 8 games next year or more. I know youíre going to say Campi is nuts and thatís okay

Who remembers this game. Kyle Essington was SB best QB ever. Look at the rushing yards in this game...

That 2012 team was the best team we've ever had. Insane amount of talent on offense.

That was the only year  we ever beat an FBS team.  We handed Army a 23-3   defeat .  I was at that game  and it was great . May never happen again  looking at our future schedules   I just more Utah State type defeats.

I dont understand why SB cant find FBS teams closer to home. UMASS, BC, UCONN, Buffalo. Schools from the MEC conference are winnable. Maine has no problems scheduling two FBS games every year, mostly from the MEC.  Why do they have to fly out to the West coast to get slaughtered? We could play teams from the American conference or even bottom tier ACC schools. What about Conference USA teams???

Heilbron (likely) has ties out west which somewhat play into this, but also it's good from a financial and awareness perspective. Those western school's money is just as good as the money of an AAC or CUSA team, plus we get to build some brand awareness out west. Even if we wind up getting stomped, that's a whole other fan base who is at least curious about where and what SBU is all about. Plus there's the massive upside if we actually win one of those games. I don't mind them. Though I really hope Oregon ponied up the cash because that game in 2021 is going to be brutal. Worse than Utah St. if that's possible.

I get that about the money. But I dont see how kids out West will want to play for SB because we get throttled 85-0 by the Ducks. If anything. It makes this football program look bad and week. Chuckie record vs. FBS says it all. Find schools on the East coast. Maybe SB will actually have a few of their fans attend the game against Duke, BC, NC, NC state, etc.....

Getting crushed for a paycheck really isn't too bright.   We cant play any schools in North  Carolina   because of NYS  rules against it.  I wont get into the politics .  Playing CUSA and MAC and AAC teams is more our speed and we stand a chance to win and add prestige .  I was at the the Arizona St vs Oregon game in Tempe AZ in 2019 .  Those teams are extremely fast and loaded with  future guys who will play on Sunday.  They can pass and run alot better than us . So anyone thinks we can stay with an Oregon who will probably be in the top 10 this year  I dont think so.

I wonít get into the specific politics, but Cuomoís a real **** for extending his stance into college athletics. Make a stand, fine, but leave the kids out of it, because you already screwed Stony Brook athletics over in the past and will in the future over this crap

Not only canít we play in NC the coaches arenít even allowed to recruit there either because he wonít let state employees travel there.

Also do you remember when SBU planned on doing a expansion of the stadium and was going to move money from one university project to the stadium project well he shot it down and if Iím not mistaken the university itself never got any funding for the other project however I remember LaValle saying that Cuomo used money somewhere else in the state. I could be wrong about the stadium stuff but I think Iím right.
