The Kutchma brothers are very interesting prospects as I met them at the skills camp I ran last year they come from a family of 5 boys all one bigger than the other however the parents are not sports minded so they were never really were exposed to the world of personal trainers or going for college visits or sending out video to college coaches however having said that the SBU coaches feel this was a no brainer to bring them both in and get them into the weight room and see how they develop.

By the way SBU is working on bringing another 7 top LI players for next years class that have all been offered or about to get offered.

#21 in new coaches poll
https://twitter.com/CAAFootball/status/925035546115686401

While I'm glad we're ranked....

we really should be in the mid teens and there's no way in hell goddamn New  Hampshire should still be ranked ahead of us or even ranked at all. Same for 4-4 Villanova. Richmond was dropped from the rankings after we beat them, but we're still behind a New Hampshire team we beat even though we have a better record?? People can try to poke holes in our resume, but there isn't anything on their resumes that warrant them having a higher ranking than us. Beating 0-6 GA Southern that just fired their coach isn't anything to write home about.

The Coaches Poll is a load of garbage, the STATS poll is the only legitimate one in my mind and the one that's given us more respect from the start anyhow.

Totally correct. The Darlings of the CAA will always get the benefit of the doubt. This proves SB needs 8 wins to make the playoffs. It must be something about the SUNY schools they dont like. UA got screwed last year, even beating UB who has a better record then GA Southern... Unbelievable

#14 in new STATS ranking
http://www.fcs.football/fcsfront.asp

Sanity has returned!! We're right back where we should be.

I think our highest ever ranking was #6 heading into the final weekend of the regular season in 2012. I can't see us getting that high, but top 10 isn't out of the question if we win out.

If we win rest, think we will host the first round? That would be immense.

We'd definitely host it, but I'm thinking bigger. If we win out, we're 9-2 in the CAA with at least a tie for 2nd place. Assuming an Elon loss to JMU and what happens elsewhere, we could wind up in the playoff committee's top 8, get a bye, and then host a second round game at Lavalle first weekend of December. We'd need quite a bit to happen in order to get that though. Namely teams ahead of us like Wofford, UCA, Elon, Eastern Washington, South Dakota St. Illinois St. etc. to lose games so we can get high enough in the committee's mind to be worthy of a seed. There's a chance though. Alot of those MVFC teams still have games against each other plus NDSU.

More likely if we win out (or even lose one, doesn't really change much) we'd host a playoff game. Given how the seeds have a geographic component to it, we'd likely play one of the Auto-bids from the NEC(Duquesne), Patriot(Colgate), or Big South(Kennesaw St./Monmouth). We could also potentially get another CAA team or an MVFC team depending on how many get in which is yet to be seen. We could be looking at a Northern Iowa, Villanova or maybe even a Richmond rematch here at Lavalle.

That's good to know. Not that I am wishing, but it seems we can afford to lose one and still host one. That's a nice cushion to have. Players can approach next three games without any pressure. But must not lose focus though.

I would hate to be playing JMU in the second round of the playoffs. But that is how Craig Hanley sees it..
