Correction re. CCU attendance post: "Of the 125 FCS schools, our spending on football operations is easily in the top 20. With that investment, we expect to annually place in the top 20 programs, with sights set on competing consistently for the FCS playoffs and national championships.  That is simply not happening. In addition, when you look at our record over the past five years, we have beaten only 3 teams that had winning records. Our attendance at games has fallen sharply; we sell about 50 percent of our available tickets. It is imperative that we find a way to create excitement around our program, attract more fans to Brooks Stadium, and increase our revenues to offset our expenditures."

Yeah Coastal which averages around 8K and Liberty16K totally outdrew us so I don't think they are 120 of 125 in attendance.

BIG TIME hire by Liberty. He did a great job at Buffalo, and probably didn't get a fair shake at kansas. To get a former big 12 head coach is impressive.

Smart move by Liberty to act quickly. Allows staff to lock down prior verbals and get to work on down the road recruiting. His name recognition will open some more doors. The jury still should be out on his coaching.
Past results are spotty.

The other announcement looms interesting. Might be premature to think of elevating the program to FBS.
Bit I guess we will see.

I don't think I've ever seen a longer letter, ever. This one is from Buffalo QB on CCU coach's dismissal. Full of fireworks.

It's pretty unbelievable that Jackolski is 16 in FCS history for all purpose yards considering he spent his sophomore year at Hofstra on the defensive side of the ball. I really hope he gets a chance in the NFL. I'm confident that he could contribute if he finds the right the fit, something like the Patriots who manage to use undersized guys like Welker and Woodhead.

Yeah, I can see how Jackowlski reminds of Welker. I thought I read somewhere that Jackowlski has 4.3 speed in the 40 yd dash...not sure if I read it on this board. With that number, and his accomplishments, he's surely going to get some good looks.

He ran a 4.3 going into his senior year at UConn recruiting camp (they offered him a scholarship there). He's put on 30 lbs since then, he's an honest 200 lbs now, so I'm not sure how that's affected his 40. Regardless, he's a pretty incredible athlete. I think he's got a similar build/athleticism to Welker. I'm sure he was a lot of work to do as far as route running and his hands are concerned, but he could potentially be a solid slot/third down back. He's also won't turn 22 until september. I don't know if that helps or hurts him, but it's shocking how good he has been both in high school and college considering how young he has been at both stages.
