Good win but need to improve that pass defense.  CSU  had  a number of open receivers this afternoon  that scored.  Cant do that against a Liberty.

I couldn't watch or  listen to the game, but the pass defense definitely needs to tighten up. Liberty's WR's and QB are too good.

How did Essington look? He only had 12 attempts. Any chance Stony Brook is trying to keep their play calling vanilla to hide some things from Liberty?

I wouldn't be surpised  if they  are hiding alot  both yesterday and with GWU coming up.  Yesteray was basically  run right, run left and up the middle. Nothing that Liberty hasn't already seen.

They did run a few things just to get them on film (like having Brock & Miguel on the field at the same time, and that reverse-pass by Brevi).  Not that we expect to see these things in the future, but anything to make Liberty prepare for something extra.

We ran a really soft 2-deep zone, left the middle of field open.  It was almost a prevent defense (the game was well in hand when a majority of the yards were gained).

Liberty is still going to be a very rough matchup, but I am feeling slightly better seeing them struggle with Presbyterian and VMI.  I'll take any reason to be optimistic.

I may be alone on this, but I wouldn't mind seeing more of Brock and Miguel on the field at the same time. They are two of the best players in the conference. I have to think the two of them on the field could cause some match up problems.
