I'll be there. Got loads of friends at JMU so this one is going to be fun.

The defense will need to be lights out, and we're going to have to pull every trick we've got out of the bag offensively in order to move the ball on JMU, but their offense isn't as good as it was last year and we've proven we can compete with top shelf teams. If we can hang with USF the entire game, we can hang with JMU. I expect a lower scoring game that's competitive into the 4th. Hanging 59 on Lehigh was a great confidence booster for this offense.

Well we are playing with house money. Hopefully Ray can play next week. JMU is not as good as USF and we hung with them. It's gonna be a hostile environment for sure. We have played good JMU teams pretty close in the past (Vad Lee for example). Even if we don't win, its a very successful season. If we win, look out.

I can't make it down to Virginia but will be eagerly watching from home.

"Carbone will be forced to try and pass and not really succeed. I mean he went 13-29 268 yards against Lehigh. 16 incompletions against the 88th ranked Pass D."

I mean, there is not argument there!! Some easy passes were dropped on Saturday but for the most part Carbone accuracy was horrendous.  He was throwing squids all day long!!
If there is any chance in this game it wont be from the air. It has to be on the ground, but the problem is JMU is going to stack the box all day with 7 and 8 guys forcing Carbone to throw the ball.

I'm not worried about Carbone. It was windy and he playing for the first time without Bolden. I think they'll be on same page this week

FYI re seats for the JMU game.  I received the email this morning offering tickets through SBU ticket office.  The seats are $25 a piece and located in Section 8, which is corner of endzone on SBU side.  I went to JMU ticket office online and you can buy $15 general admission tickets which includes seating on most of the SBU side of field, including at the 50 yd line. You might have to sit among JMU students fans, but you will have a better view of the game for almost half the price. There also appear to be upper deck seats available on JMU side of field closer to midfield for $25 a piece.

I wonder why SBU allotment of seats are so terrible!!! In the corner of the end zone, for real?????

Kind of a common thing to allot the crap seats for visiting fans I'm guessing. Not totally sure on that one though.

Thank you for the update CTWolfie. JMU sells the $25 tickets on their website as well. Looks like I'll be going with the $15 GA option. Based on what I've heard from someone who goes to JMU games, they don't check your ticket once you're inside the stadium, so you can sit wherever pretty much as long as it's not a reserved seat someone else bought. With this in mind I'll definitely be doing the $15 GA. The stadium is FBS ready and seats 25k. Historically JMU has gotten about ~15-16k attendance at these second round games, so they'll be plenty of seats.

Can't wait for Saturday!

Hi Seawolves.

VA_Seawolf is correct, it is pretty common practice throughout college football to reserve the least-desirable seats for the visitors.  It's nothing personal, but the alumni donors, season ticket holders, and students pay quite a bit and they want the better seats.

The idea of getting the cheaper General Admission tickets is a good one.  The game will not be a sellout, so you'll be free to roam to other sections, including to the visitor section if you want to be around your own.  JMU fans are generally friendly to visiting fans, but I would advise against sitting in the General Admission (student) section unless you have a tough skin.  Drunk college students are not pleasant seat neighbors to anyone, including other JMU fans.  I visit a lot of FCS and FBS stadiums and usually try to avoid the student section, except at Army.

Hope lots of you can make it down to Harrisonburg!  I'd invite you to our tailgate if we were going ourselves.  Stop by the JMU board if you have any questions about the area.

I'm amazed at some of the score predictions I'm reading on the JMU board.  ;D ;D Some of them are expecting to drop 50+ points on us LOL. We're a 10 win team in the same conference and are a top 10 team by every metric. If JMU fans could choose their second round opponent, I guarantee you NONE of them would be picking us so this hubris is surprising. If their players think this game is as much of a gimme as their fans do, we have a very good shot.

Saturday is going to be glorious regardless.

Stony Brook will be one of if not the best team JMU has played all year. Make no mistake, JMU should be and is the favorite, but they ought to be pissed they drew us in the second round.
