What's Next for Senior Class?
« on: June 30, 2012, 05:54:27 pm »
I saw the attached article and interview on Dougher, and I thought it was worth posting for you guys.  So far, this is all I have seen on the recent Senior class; not sure if there have been any offers to Joyner/Rapier/Carter as far as professional careers go.  I'd assume Carter could play back in England?  Anyway, here's the story and interview:

I think coach Rickard tweeted recently that Joyner has signed a pro contract overseas. I don't know where though. Carter shouldn't have much trouble finding a league because of his English citizenship.

Joyner signed with a team in Finland, the name of the team escapes me right now, I'll try to find it.

I talked with Carter a few months ago before the championship game and he told me that he was considering either going back overseas to play professionally or staying at Stony Brook for graduate school. I haven't heard anything since then though.

Danny Carter to the Reading Rockets, the team he came up with before coming to Stony Brook.

Via Steve Pikiell's Twitter:
"Proud of Dave Coley. Just signed his 1st pro contract in Slovakia. Another graduate and pro in the #Seawolves family!! #SpreadTheRed"

Successful project for Pikiell. Turned a raw, injury riddled guard into a All-Conference defender and Pro with a degree!
