Just noticed that our old friend Jules Moor has once again entered the transfer portal.  I guess for some reason his transfer from SBU to Texas State didn't pan out.  Unfortunate: I still believe he had some tools.

I checked him out a couple of weeks ago - he was on roster, but hadn't appeared in a game.  That makes sense given that he transferred to a D1 school (similar to Policelli).  Not sure he'd come back - I recall seeing him being very annoyed with Geno during our playoff game, when being substituted after he had made a bad play.  He's also from TX, so I assume one of his reasons for going back was to be closer to family/girlfriend/etc.  In regard to him coming back, I guess stranger things have happened.

Just made an offer to Jayson Woodrich.  Anyone know anything about him?

saw that but don't know... interest from others is somewhat unimpressive.

in other news- i'm sure you've all noticed- we have NINE juniors on the team.  so what happens in 2021?  i assume transfers???  lot's of $$$ should free up...

also we'd be SOL for bigs at that point.

Yeah, this is a serious longer-range problem for sure.  With Policelli playing next year, and everyone back, I think SBU may have to make some tough decisions about cutting loose some guys at the end of the bench, and replenishing with some young talent.  Assuming the core group comes back (Garcia is a possible, but not likely, flight risk as a grad transfer), I don't think we should be going the transfer route next year, IMO.  BTW, I'm talking about 20-21, not 21-22 (bring on the transfer then......).

Here's some info on Woodrich:

Thanks!  The kid has size and looks like he has a good stroke.  I love shooters, so looks like a good pickup.  The one minus is that his coach thinks he has D1 ability, but by way of JUCO.

Next year's team though.... we've got to be the favorite to win the AE right? Hell, this year would be quite something too had Yeboah stayed and Lamb went to the NBA.

yeah.  last year if you all remember was a pleasant surprise- USC, GWU, etc.

and then- we couldnt beat bingo in the first round.  at home.

so maybe we just peaked in nov instead of feb.  hard to sustain victory for that long, especially given all the stop and go over the bball season.

Why does Alex Christie still have a roster spot

I sense that he won't be here for another two years. He should go find solid minutes elsewhere rather than wasting away behind Otchere, Chef and Gueye. Petras bided his time and eventually became a solid role player, but I don't see the same happening for Christie. Just a hunch.

I do wonder if Garcia returns for his fourth season with us. I hope he does – he's a nice inside/outside threat. But the buzzards have to be swirling for any redshirt junior who's been a valuable contributor for any length of time. I have to think he'll be tempted.

ruTgers is 11-3, tied for 2nd in the B1G (sure it's early) but still maybe it looks like pikiell is catching on there. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/team/_/id/164/rutgers-scarlet-knights
