Don't believe everything you hear or see on those broadcasts. The graphics guy had a bad night. Not sure what the heck this was.

Ha!  I missed that one.  K. Frames must be our under-the-radar secret weapon.  They have to stop using those Junior High School interns, I guess.
How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

Looks like our one walk-on has left the team.  Nick Aubry is no longer listed on the roster.

Doesn’t surprise me. I’ve heard Aubry was baaaaaad. Some people around me question how he even made the team in the first place.

Per VC, Jules Moor is transferring to Texas State, close to home, so he's staying D1.  I'm assuming that he will need to sit out 1 year.  Texas State finished 2nd in the Sun Belt last year.

I do believe, however, that he's a walk-on.

I have no idea what you are talking about- many years of rebuilding?

We have as much talent in the current locker room as we have had in my opinion since Warney left.

I don't get your doom and gloom. Moor was a solid player but nothing irreplaceable.

Wolfie. You cant tell me this team is not once again rebuilding. A good portion of the team departed, and a new coaching staff makes for a rebuilding team. Not sure how to sugar coat it any other way.

I don't see this team as rebuilding any more than most college BB teams in most years.  The Associate HC took over, not an entirely new coaching regime (Weber is the next coach waiting in the wings).  Yeboah is the only significant loss and he might have left even if Boals stayed.  Cornish was a senior.  Long and Moor were role players at best.  Not sure about the two freshman, but we all know Policelli can play (maybe not this year though) and Gueye is really, really intriguing.  Foreman is eligible.

Eight players return from last year, including their 2nd, 3rd and 4th (tied) leading scorers.  Three starters return.  Otchere blocked 78 shots and could be a huge force if he can stay out of foul trouble.

I'm not seeing how that is a rebuild.

Yeah guys, we're still pretty loaded, no question about that.  Yeboah was a big loss, but I think we can all see why he transferred (although he could have done better than RU, IMO).  He obviously felt indebted to Pikiell.

My post wasn't to lament Moors' departure; only to indicate that he stayed D1, as I think it was Checkmate who sleuthed that he was entertaining mostly D2 schools.  If he's a walk-on, no guarantee of scholly, after his transfer year sit out.  We'll miss his solid defensive play, but not a major loss here, IMO.

If Policelli can play this upcoming season (still a ?), then with the addition of the other newbies and the core, I think we're pretty much delta neutral on the talent side.

Wright Forman from Hofstra was selected in the 2nd round of the NBA draft from the Utah Jazz. That would be the 12th Hofstra player to get drafted from Hoftsra since 1994. I think that is amazing. Forman is going to do really well in the NBA!

Stony Brook went D1 in 1999, I believe and they have zero athletes drafted so far.

What is it with this university that shuns away great players. Not just BB but Football and some other sports as well. Baseball, W lax and lately, W volleyball is doing well, but the sports that the majority of the county watch the most is Football and Basketball and that is where the problem lies. Is it because it is a state school? Maybe because its a predominately a medical school? I really dont know what it is. Just curious..
