We are getting absolutely hosed this year.

We are all the way at the bottom  :'(

I used to so obsessed with RPI and bracketology...still check all these rankings regularly.

But all those heartbreaking AE tournament losses prior to finally getting over the hump in 2016 taught me that three AE tourney games in early March is all that matters in one bid league. The team we have now is capable of winning it all. I see Vermont and us in the final. Hope we can get the home court.
Winning the AEC tournament is of course paramount but getting a crappy 15 or 16 seed virtually guarantees a smack down in the big tourney. (Ignore what UMBC did...it won’t happen again anytime soon.)

UMBC as a 16 was an outlier though I believe. They were clearly under-seeded as the AE champ is usually a 13 or a 14.

Goddamnit... UNH tried to upset Vermont but couldn’t seal it. Would have loved to see that happen.

That game is the gift that keeps on giving!! Had Rhode Island been their usual ranked/competitive self, and we didn't lose the Hofstra game, I'd almost say we have an at-large worthy resume. Carolina will be ranked eventually if they keep this up.

Not exactly. SB's Sagarin rating actually dropped after last night's results.

UVM is playing without Lamb. Would love for UMBC to steal that.

NY post has a nice article on our season!

“Stony Brook is ahead of schedule and surprising itself”

If we keep it up, NY Times next.

wow.  great coverage.  more should be coming, especially if we win.

you guys remember how in the fall i kept writing that it feels like every team is winning?  now add both bball teams.  this year has been amazing.

halfway through the conf schedule and we are 11-2 on the road, losses to brown and umbc.  im a believer in that road wins, in a sport with so much midweek travel, make a team prepared for the post season (where many are on the road).  good job SB.

To add to that, the Binghamton announcers said that Stony Brook has the most True Wins on the road this season in the entire country.  Quite an accomplishment.
How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

Yep. This has been true for several weeks actually. We were the first school to reach 10 true road wins this season.
