I'm surprised that nobody had a comment on Pikiell's starting lineup yesterday.  I thought Thrower and Burnett did great at the starting guard positions, and was especially pleased with Burnett's energy and movement.  I think he actually sparked the others, including Puriefoy!!  Hope to see more of him in the coming weeks.  Good to see the team with some of their MoJo back.

I thought about it yesterday but its a good point. Until Puriefoy gets going, I think it won't hurt to let Thrower run the offense. Puriefoy off the bench may be a better fit for him- he could be instant offense in reserve.

Burnett is an interesting player because we've seen so little of him. I love lefty shooters and it wouldn't hurt to get him some minutes in the rotation.
He's a young kid and I didn't like seeing him stranded on the bench anyway. I'd love to see more of his game, he's got decent size and is pretty athletic.

i noticed it too and pondered whether this was the right time to get some starts for the younger guys, combined with the fact that tre has struggled a bit lately.  actually if i remember right didnt thrower get much more time in the first few weeks of the season?

I had very high hopes with thrower coming out of Michigan, higher then i should have.. But after watching him play in every game, I am quite disappointed to say the least. He is, unfortunately, a work in progress. Having him start over Tre would be a HUGE mistake at this time.. I do agree with handing over the torch to Burnett and allow him to mature quicker... Tre should be downgraded to Bench and let the other bench players start.

Vermont has more freshmans on their team this year then SB has and they somehow made more 3's last night against Lowell then any other NCAA team in the past 5 years. Maybe we can borrow one or two of their long ball shooters! Coach P really needs to focus on guards who can shoot from the perimeter next season, I think we are dead last in the conference in that cat!!!

Definitely agree on getting a 2, who can shoot the 3!  The main reason SBU has lost in the Finals over the years is because of poor shooting at the 2 and 3 spots.

agreed agreed agreed.  not only missing threes, but poor shot selection of 3s.  there is a time and a place.

look if we can hit upper 30s or maybe 40%, sure, shoot'em.  but the off balance in traffic desperation attempt after a long defensive stand is ill advised.  especially in a tight game or up.

Looks like the Seawolves finally know what it's like to meet some competition on their trip.  After three straight relatively easy wins they just lost to Lithuania Select by 20 points.  I guess maybe it will serve to build character!!

I wonder of coach P even had a chance to land this 4 star athlete from our own backyard!! Our Savior has a history of producing big time Basketball players and coach Pikiell should be taking up residence inside the parking lot of that school!!!!!!

Our Savior New American is a school full of renegades.  The kids are imported from African countries without the ability to read or write.  Pikiell knows about these kids, but they'd have zero chance of getting into school.

So, I guess saint Johns is equivalent to a suffolk county community college?? He could have made it into SB.
