>>>>final four means AE final four, right?<<<<

First round could be tough, but I think we have a very outside shot at this.  :o

ESPN  feels we have a shot at the big Final Four . That is a quantum leap for sure. I looked at some of the teams we could face just in the first round , Oregon, West Virginia , Virginia , Miami , Duke and Kentucky .   Beat them then do it all over several more times .  I would love to see it but not  sure its doable   this is one of those perfect storm moments.

That is bonkers! How do they choose us over, say, St. Mary's or Wichita State? They should have rephrased it - just darkhorses in general.

I posted about Sekunda's injury before reading this thread. I keep skipping to the unpinned stuff.

From an outsider's perspective it seems the screws are tightening after a big home loss to UVM. So begins the new season.

One would hope/think SBU can handle UMBC in round one (I would think Lyles having some crazy Curry-esque 50 pt game is the only threat). It would be comforting to see SBU put that game away early.

That leaves roughly a week from now to work through what appears to be some (very?) rough edges suddenly apparent before a probably much tougher semi game.

Still wish they could establish an inside presence first in games--seems all too often Warney goes into halftime with very few points. Freethrows...ugh.  Also, the outside rotation seems out of whack with the loss of Sekunda. Hard to read exactly what's going on during a tough loss, but Nyama looked to have a funk on his face on the bench last night. Hope that's not the case and everyone's on board come Wednesday.

Anyway, I'm sure these and other concerns painfully obvious. Some work to do boys! Let's see what happens as the tough season now starts and the drama plays out. Good luck SBU!

no great place for this, but UA cancels the Duke game over travel to states with transgender laws: http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2016/07/13/albany-scraps-basketball-game-against-duke-over-nc-transgender-law.html

wonder if this could hit the rest of SUNY.

I read that yesterday, Chair and was wondering the same thing. I'd imagine it would affect SB if we had a game scheduled for north carolina!!!

It impacts  all SUNY schools in all sports.  As it does all business dealings between New York State Govt  and the North Carolina Govt
