Hey guys! Home opener coming up in 4 days! I know it's not division 1 but it's our home opener! What are we looking for? What are you excited about? Go Seawolves!

Thank God.. basketball is here.. I just want to forget this football season.

Stony Brook basketball has a lot of players returning. Best conference player, Warney, is returning. Picked up a decent pass first PG. Stony Brook is the favorite to win the conference in everyone's prediction. IMO, I think we are going to win the regular season championship.. the question is can we win the three games in March in AE tournament. I don't care if we finish 8th to get into the tournament. I just want to see them win the damn tournament.

I  would expect this team to be up tempo all season. They are athletic  and quick and should win the conference .  Interested to see if the freshman from last year improve and our two nicky new guys produce early.  Could be a fun year .   Predictions regular season 24-5

Hoping that Warney worked on his free throws; he could be even more of a monster if he was up around 70%.

Also, I'd love it if Deshaun and Carson developed their jumpers further.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing the DEPTH on this team. Adding Walker and Woodhouse to a veteran group could make us very very tough. I'm not saying I expect us to win at ND or Vandy, but I do expect us to give them hell.

I know it was only USMMA, but nonetheless it was obvious tonight that the Seawolves are extremely talented all the way up and down the roster.  Walker is a crazy athletic stud!!  Vanderbilt is next; likely to be an entirely different story, though.

Who the heck is number 4????????????

Everyone on the team made a basket besides the mysterious #4 player and Mitchell. Mitchell, is still hungover from the Albany Championship game when he abandoned his post and Hooley made that 3 ball to win the game. Yeah, that Mitchell!!

I loved everything I saw last night.  We moved at a much higher pace, we had a lot more "movement with purpose" instead of just stalling, and we attacked the basket instead of settling for contested jumpers.  Obviously yesterday needs to be taken in context, and Vandy will give us a much better yardstick, but so far so good.

Mitchell just looked rusty.  This makes sense, kid had surgery in the offseason and is still getting back up to speed.

Tim Donohoe is our new Ben Resner.

I think we finish 24-5 and win the regular season title.  As for winning the AE tourney... until it happens it didn't happen.

Mitchell looked rusty before the injury 😀 With the added depth in the backcourt, his minutes will be reduced dramatically - thank God!

He is from the Albany area. I would venture to say the Great Danes passed on him!!!!!!

Sounds like we have a promising teams from the comments above. I'm excited for the basketball season. Hopefully this team can help get over the pain of the football program.

Time to go down to TN and spank some vandy
