Tears up the G League
Team USA Basketball MVP (take a look at past winners and the company he is in)
Plays about as well as one could be expected to play in limited minutes in his first 3 NBA games ever
Seems to be an amazingly hard worker, class act, coach-able, no off the court issues

If someone like this doesn't land on an NBA team, you almost have to wonder if big name $chool$ and the NBA have some kind of con$piracy going on where they don't want kids to see that there are avenues to the NBA other than going to these big name $chool$.

No one ever said the NBA  is a place for saints . I'm sure money flows freely  to many big schools   aka Kentucky comes to mind.

Kentucky is a training  facility for the NBA so glad they are out of the Tournament . My vote is Loyola and Sister Jean

28 points, 14 rebounds in last night’s game. And 3 for 5 from downtown.

For those who are incredulous that Warney isn’t in the NBA. We should be glad he got a shot this early!

Wow!!  This certainly doesn't make me feel any better about Jameel's prospects.  Nevertheless, I still believe tahtif anyone has earned a shot (A REAL ONE!!!), Jameel has.

Major article on the NY Knicks in today's Newsday re: issues they are facing heading to the future.  Some points are especially interesting in the 1st and 5th questions the article, which ask--" WHO WILL COACH THE KNICKS?" and " CAN THE KNICKS IMPROVE IN THE SHORT TERM?"  Examples of key statements that resonated with me include:

Re: Question 1
-- "They need someone who not only stresses defense, but demands it from his players.  The Knicks haven't truly had that since Jeff Van Gundy, who should be a candidate."  Note: Remember, Van Gundy was the coach for the USA championship international team last year, for which our guy Jameel was the MVP.  By all accounts, Van Gundy loves the guy!!

Re: Question 5
-- "That will depend on their VP of development Craig Robinson.  He has an 'innovative' and 'transformative' plan to develop players
-- "The list of guys Robinson will be working with includes...any young free agents they sign"
-- They will have to "...show some signs of improvement with a good young core..."

The answers are all spelled W-A-R-N-E-Y.  Let's hope the Knicks can spell!!

But, he still can't get a 2 way contract with any NBA team.. I think I know why and it has everything to do with a little,  small town low major college he played for.. Sorry to say it folks but that is how the business works in the NBA. Owners and coaches frown upon giving contracts to athletes from low major schools.. I think it is total horse $hit, but that is the trend....

So you make this claim when seeing a team of guys who went to Stony Brook and, oh by the way, Duke, NC State, Iowa State and Indiana. Please explain.

And BTW, the second team went to Duke, LSU, Baylor, UNLV and Princeton. Want to check out the third team?

Jameel could be on an NBA roster. Some may argue that he should be. We obviously all hope like heck that he will be again soon and that he sticks. We saw him in his brief NBA stint – he looked the part. But let's not act like he's this game changer at that level, or that there's this conspiracy theory that explains a slight that doesn't exist.

Approximately 100 players from DII schools have made NBA rosters over the years. Once you get to the G League (or get some other NBA attention) there are other factors at work than which college you went to.

I see what you're saying, but he's first team all G league. There's no good reason why a team wouldn't sign him anymore. He can play, he's proven it, so what are they waiting for? Ignoring him just because of where he went to school would be an asinine move.
