OK, guys, let's get up off the mat and get a W this weekend.
It won't be easy. Northeastern is 6-3, and its losses have come by a combined 10 points. It's already beaten nationally ranked Miami on the road as well - that's among the best mid-major wins this season for sure. They made 12 of 22 threes that day. Miami shot 54 percent that day too.
We beat them 73-66 two years ago at our place. Warney had 14 and 10, and only Walker and Puriefoy played meaningful minutes otherwise. For Northeastern, the kid David Walker, who's averaging 22 a night for them this season, had 13 in that game as a sophomore. Warney v. Ford should be a good matchup on the block. NU has a couple trees inside but they play minimal minutes, and Walker isn't much of a shot blocker. Warney has 25 blocks while nobody on NU has more than eight.
Looks like a toss-up more or less.
