Game 5: vs. Hampton 11/26
« on: November 26, 2016, 11:00:00 am »
This is the first game where I think we should expect a victory. Hampton's lost by double digits four times and only has a one-point win over Chowan to its credit. Yes, we are still winless but I think there's enough evidence to suggest this is a very winnable game for us.

Hitting the road now but wanted to get this one up. Hopefully some positive chatter here in a few hours!

Nice to get that first one today. Hopefully the team can back it up with a solid effort on Wednesday against Loyola. The Greyhounds got blown out today by #12 Creighton.

Nice BB day yesterday for the Seawolves:  MBB beat Hampton, WBB beat Manhattan and Jameel warney had 24 pts., 9 Reb., as the Texas Legends beat Salt Lake City.

Gutsy win, guys. It's nice that we were able to get the first one for Coach Boals. I feel like these guys are working hard.

How about a 50-point second half for the Seawolves? Aided by free throws of course but we got there by shooting the ball well too – 50 percent from the field, five made threes. And way to knock down your free throws, boys!

Just a massive night from Woodhouse. Gets the career high and gets us into the win column.

I like the change to the starting lineup. Nyama playing the minutes he needs to (and should have last year too) while Saintel has been marginalized for the moment. He seems limited aside from his athleticism.

74 offensive rebounds in five games ... but we're losing the battle of the boards statistically. That means we've missed A LOT of shots. It's a credit to the coaching staff and to the players that we've been in a few of these games. Sturdy and Kwasi leading the way but good to see Sekunda attacking the glass too.

Kwasi 8 for 26 from three, 8 for 29 from two. Sekunda, Iroegbu, Petras and Almonacy all under 30 percent too  ??? :-\  :o . Iroegbu had his best shooting night against Hampton so hopefully there's more of that to come.

12 big minutes in the second half for Mitchell. We can always count on getting effort from him. It's great to see Almonacy getting into the mix defensively with his shot not falling. Four steals against Hampton.
