Last time a Stony Brook team was ranked in the 300s in Kenpom was the 07-08 season. We finished 7-23 that year. This could be a long season.

At least I'm sure Geno liked his teams effort tonight. If our record was based on whether or not Geno liked our effort we'd be 4-0 ;D

And “battling,”…more important than scoring more points.

They didn’t get the memo that it’s not a free throw shooting contest.

To be fair, nobody expected half these guys to play anything more than marginal minutes. Roberts is a D-II guy. Pettway was a spare part that’s been forced into more time. Muratori’s raw. I’m sure they didn’t expect TO to be the guy from day one. Sarvan, to this point, looks like a guy who was recruited to play at a MEAC school (as he was) rather than a CAA school. And have I seen some extracurricular stuff from him? Not loving it.

Even if everyone was healthy though, I question the makeup of the roster. We *sorely* lack athletes. It’s really just TSM. I feel bad for him because he’s got to feel like the only scorer out there sometimes. I sure hope this doesn’t snowball.

Frey out till Christmas  :-\

three pointers awful again- though i do appreciate keeping it under twenty attempts.

offensive boards- it was 11-1 i think in the first half, finished up 15-2.  abysmal.  brown doesnt have the size advantage, and we cant really blame it on youth.

with that said i think intensity was good, so when you consider our injuries and travelling, maybe something to look forward to.  FTs are great and one day that's going to turn a win in a tight game.  brown didnt look like an 0-3 team.

Got out-rebounded 40-28. We were promised better rebounding than this. Couple that with with 19 turnovers and we just had so many less possessions than Brown. If you want to be optimistic, Fitzmorris is starting to find something? Although I said that 2 games ago with Sarvan and then Tuesday with Onyekonwu so I shouldnt speak too soon.

This team has no depth. Toby looked lost same with kaine. Policelli fouling out putting up 6 pts was the nail in the coffin. Sarvan and fitzmorris are tall but don’t play tough in the post. Really only two rebounders TSM and policelli. Geno no adjustments but then I wonder what adjustments could he really make.

We did get an injury update in the broadcast. The broadcaster said Geno told him Frey could be back around christmas. That lines up with Nahar's 6 week timeframe. Still nothing concrete on Clarke. So maybe we have 10 guys come the first conference game December 31st but thats assuming no one else gets injured until then. Is it crazy at this point to give Heiden some real minutes?

my new lineup based on 4 games (pending injuries)- and i aint the coach- pettway, tobyOny, TSM, then muratori and fitz.  less outside shooters, higher % of winning.  grab boards and score dunks, layups, and putbacks.  not much depth after that with our IR.

yes- two 5s.  fitz and muratori did not miss one single shot against brown.  we'd like to win, no???

after 4 games, our 3pt shooting is 30/109 (27.5%).  didnt someone say it was supposed to be our strength?  again???

the three pointer is a tool; it can be used as a strategy, but i still struggle to find ONE instance where this has benefited this team.

Twin towers would be fun but that lineup would get ran off the floor too slow no rebounds.
