sessoms news is big.  he's a player.  perhaps too small to make a jump to a major conference, but nevertheless can play somewhere.

The only thing preventing me from calling the game a choke is our 3-17 shooting from 3.  Choking would imply that our shooting result was a surprise rather than an entirely predictable outcome.  The league is in no way better now than it was during the Pikiell years.  If you are going to tell me that the new SBU identity is going to be chucking 3's I will tell you that the days of us being number 2 or higher in the league 9 of 11 years and 5 finals appearances are over.

It's hard to get too excited over the whole team coming back when you consider how many needs this team has, including but not limited to:

1. A 2 guard that can provide any consistent level of offense. I thought Latimer was going to take a big step forward this year, but maybe next year.
2. Anyone that can score in the post.
3. A PG that can distribute the ball and set the offense. (Maybe getting a PG would also solve problem 1 because you could move Foreman to the 2.)

Otherwise, SB's ceiling will continue to be battling for second in the conference and early exits in the conference tournament.

id be surprised if they all come back.

for a ball distributor, what exactly do we need- a new woodhouse?  can an existing player be trained?

same for post play- we have 4 giant bodies- can't one post up???  learn how?

we add pollicelli- anyone else signed yet???  plenty of open offers, not sure of the timeline.

Chairman. SB needs a coach who knows how to mold the existing players. Geno Ford has proved to us he cant improve his team abilities to be better players.  Ball distribution is horrible.  nobody on this team can shoot a 3 ball with any consistances. The list goes on and on. Ford must go!!

OT: Didin't know where to put this - Sam Sessoms (Binghamton) just put his name out on the Transfer Portal.

Around the AE/country thread would do. That's a dagger for BU. No conference tournament and then this? I wonder what's up over there.

Sessoms carried the whole BU program for the past two seasons and was one of the best players in the league while doing so. If there's one thing Yeboah proved this year, it's that you can move from the AE into a high major conference and do just fine if you're a great player. Curious to see where he lands. Glad we won't have to deal with him anymore lol.
