The lack of defensive effort in the 2nd half was just comical.

Everyone back next year, including all the injured players, would be something to hypothetically look forward to, but do you even think they care whether or not they'd be playing for Geno or not? Some say changing coaches guarantees full roster turnover, but does that to extend to Geno goddamn Ford?

Most lopsided defeat since losing 78-35 to fifth-ranked Villanova in the 2005-06 opener.

We just don't have the kind of roster that can compete with that kind of scoring depth.

As someone said, it's a four-team race. I'd even say three because I don't think UNCW quite has what it takes. It'll be an entertaining semifinal round and, if we see a Charleston/Hofstra final, that'll be a heck of a showdown.

Stony Brook doesn’t fire coaches before their contracts expire. I’m willing to bet that Geno will be back for his final year. Question becomes whether Heilbron will be RE-upped or not. I like the idea of a new AD whose first task will be to begin a 1 yr search effort for the next Men’s BB coach. But McGinnis is not outspoken when it comes to sports, so she may decide to go with status quo, and for all we know, Heilbron May have already been extended. The question becomes does McGinnis value Women’s Lax, Women’s Bball, and Baseball (successful programs) as much as Football and Men’s Bball (the 2 potential money makers)?

You are spot on. Because of what you just said, SBU athletics are going to suffer immensely, and it already has. But, McGinnis doesn’t care either way and neither do I….

SH can fool some of the people with SB's relative success in other sports (esp Women's LAX), and he'll keep Fiore and Ford around because they won't make waves, and say the right thing after losses. On top of that, not enough people care about SB sports to change anything.

Hampton and Monmouth both lost so we avoid play-in game. Looks like we’ll play AT&T (good for us) or Delaware.

“Not enough people care about SB sport to change anything”.. People do care. Just not the big money donors this school is looking for. Our cheap season tickets is not enough to move the needle one way or another.”

Rest assured. If I offered to donate $5 million dollars to the university, with the promise to find a new football coach or basketball coach. This school would listen and get off their asses.

Correct. From my vantage point, we are locked into the 10 seed. If Elon wins tonight, we get Delaware. If Delaware wins, we get A&T. Winner of that gets Charleston.

They need to get rid of Gino Heilbron and Emerich.

Still contemplating whether or not I should bother going to see this sorry ass program in-person or not.....

Awesome presser from Kelsey:

Love his enthusiasm. Did you watch him on Flo after the game? He grabbed the mike and was thanking the fans emphatically.  Reminded me of what Pikiell used to do, but to a much larger extent. He’s definitely riding the wave.

Because coach Kelsey is a class act HC. This is exactly what SBU needs to find, but wont.

SBU has decided to go a different direction with the entire university, including all sports. The direction they decided to go is WOKE, and many college coaches will turn their backs on this program and will never coach here. It's sad state of the environment to be in.
