Among all the terrible calls this year, that one that just happened on Olaniyi and Duncan, the double foul, might have been the worst.
Totally agree with you on that. These refs are brutal and are targeting SB more.

Agree Olaniyi is a talent. Needs to play more controlled overall. He’s basically done for game now.

Horrible officiating aside, our seniors are literally laying an egg. Without great performances from the seniors, we have no change.

Sturdivant should be on the bench- he is a turnover machine and has no ability to score. His offensive game is not doable against UVM for some reason.

Sekunda has become a complete non factor this year. Without Warney being doubled, he has proven incapable of creating his own shots.

Petras has flashes here and there.

Freshmen are legit fortunately, particularly Olaniyi.

Have to agree. Seniors laying an egg. Sekunda has just been a zero factor since he’s come back from his injury. Sturdy not getting thru screens and twice UC on zurquart

That’s what need to shake things up; a little fist-a-cuffs. I think Boals could take Becker in a scrum.

Our seniors clearly are frustrated,  as they should be. They are horrible!!!!!!! This season can't end fast enough.  On to football, baseball and Lacrosse..

Well the silver lining is that we are not losing any major contributors to graduation. Other teams are losing significant players. This was not a good senior class.

Petras is really having arguably his worst game period. He and Sturdivant really had no development at all.

Sekunda has been invisible all year- he really profited off of the double/triple teams that Warney used to get and the defensive breakdowns that Puriefoy called. He has not been able to create his own shots.

Iroegbu has been OK in spurts but too inconsistent.

Saintel will be missed- he's not a centerpiece player but would have been an awesome complementary piece on a good team.

Not gonna blame Boals for this disappointing senior class as these were Pikiell guys. Boals needs to have better results next year.

You think about the way that UC played down the stretch, and it's a shame that he's compromised at this point. Miss or make, you could never fault him on effort.

Overall though, a senior class that proved to be full of supporting cast members.

Refs are just ruthless with the whistle.

the UA win was nice.  for the seniors.  but i think were done here.

i really thought the UML game was the end.  but i have to say- we bounced back and beat UA when it really counted.  the RU win was nice too.

ouch.  last game for seniors (were not going NIT or CIB right?) has sturdy and petras foul out, saintel and UC nearly with 4 each.  29 to 15 doesnt seem fair.  kinda like the wlax game against maryland last year.

our shooting was just awful tonight, but the UA win was good and thanks to the seniors, GO SB

Let’s face it, the Cats were bigger, stronger, smarter, and more talented than us. The fouls absolutely killed us and our graduating seniors didn’t show up tonight unfortunately. Let’s hope Vermont can do some damage in the Tournament as a # 13.

During that rough stretch when it looked like SBU was toying with the 7/8/nowhere seed for the AE tournament, we would have all probably taken a win against UA and out. So that's what we got!

SBU had to be great to even have a chance, and they were certainly not even close to that. If my math is about right, SBU seniors were 2 for 23. Brutal. Well, they each offered a few bright moments along the way during their careers, but as Checkmate said I guess they were all just role players and not capable of leading this team this year. I hope wherever the road goes from here for them, it's a good one.

Feels like there is some promise for next year. I'll be back to see. Olaniyi looks like the real deal, and I'm still positive about McKenzie. Hope Ochefu puts in the work, as it feels like there is more we can see from him. Of course Yeboah should be a first-team anchor to it all next year.

Thanks for all the smart commentary here throughout the year. My attention turns to pro baseball now, and I vow to see SBU play as well if the weather ever warms up. Until about November, all.

5 seniors: 2-23 FG, 1-2 FT for 5 points
5 returning players: 17-34 FG, 9-12 FT for 46 points

 :o :o :o

No Almonacy, no Long, no Garcia. I'd bet good money that we've seen the last of at least one of them.
