Regarding the CAA... yes, its a one bid league packed with programs fighting for a single bid.

In other words - it will be harder to get into the NCAA. So don't expect us to own the CAA and get to the NCAA every other year. It's going to be tough trying to make it to the NCAA (see hofstra).

With that said we have to see this move as another step in a long road to success. Stony Brook is making short-term sacrifices (perhaps sacrificing a few tourney bids in the next few years) for the hopes of someday climbing to the top 7-10 conferences in the future (where the public peers of a school like Stony Brook currently reside). Stony Brook is going to require a lot of support from the fans. We have to buy-in and support the school during this transitional period in the CAA. Lets enjoy the ride, buy some tickets, and support the Alma Mater.

Let's go Seawolves!

Well put. One step at a time.

I would be very happy next year with an at-large NIT invite.

Happy for the kids who stayed. Convincing win and great way to end the season. Hope it leaves the kids with a good taste in their mouths, so that the core returns.

Excellent post-game presser. Habwe and Sales are definitely done. Post-season invite will depend on SBU admin and seniors on the team. Policelli done for year with injury.

Would love to see Policelli Greene TSM Roberts return plus a couple portal additions as role players. Nervous that Greene and Roberts might try to jump a level I really believe continuity is what seperates good from great teams.

id think our bigger worry is the front court, no?  what are these new freshmen going to look like in the paint.

we seem to have a handle on ball carriers, shooters, and wing slashing 3s.

There are 29,413,039 corporations in America; but only one Chairman of the Board.

Thanks for letting us in on this, WUSB. A refreshing listen. I don't doubt that Geno's at least a good dude.

I thought that he was reluctant to say Roberts' name a lot; I wonder if he was a harder sell and if he'll be a harder sell. Pure speculation, no inside info, but I could see it. Gifted scorer and he looked good as a distributor too.

The constant recruiting process, between keeping our guys, worrying about whether they're being courted, bringing in new guys, etc., has to be exhausting.

The only thing is that Roberts was a bench-warmer in the A-10; CAA may be a nice fit for him.  Also, SBU is his 3rd school; if he's planning on getting a degree at some point, he'll need to find a home.  Why would you leave a program where you're the man?  Same Q for Greene.  Of course, kids dream, and many times unrealistically.

Incorrect. Roberts averaged 21 minutes in a short span before leaving the team. He was on his way to being All-MAC at Kent State and was going to be a big part of Bona's plans before departing. That he's been to a few places already either works in our favor ... or it doesn't.

Big fish small pond appeals to some—or smallish if we're talking the CAA—but I dunno, Gueye just went against four first-round picks last night. Roberts can be a Garcia or Olaniyi type at a big school, especially when you think of coaches weighing a 21/22 year old man who can help now versus to a 18/19 year old kid who will need time.

I also noticed ford did not say roberts name to much in the presser. for what’s it worth, AR did make an Instagram story saying “fun while it lasted 15 (with a peace out sign).. not sure if he means peace out to the season or peace out to stony brook

Well, that's not what I wanted to see this morning.

His words: "Last college, fun while it lasted, 15 peace out."

So it sounds like he's done with NCAA, not using his final year of eligibility anywhere, and looking to go pro right now. Damn.

Everyone has different personal circumstances so I wish him nothing but the best. His iso scoring ability should get him a chance somewhere where do you think he lands?

Sounds like he's gone then.  I was talking about his time at St. Bonnie.....
