First of all, 2017 up here. Tickets on sale Black Friday! http://www.stonybrookathletics.com/news/2016/11/21/mens-basketball-stony-brook-to-face-maryland-at-nassau-coliseum-in-2017.aspx

Listen, we all know we're heavy, heavy underdogs and likely on to 0-3. Let's play tough, build some more chemistry, and continue to show progress. That Maryland hasn't exactly buried anybody is a good omen. They snuck by American and Towson, and beat Georgetown by a point. Maybe we can hang around for a while.

We need to find our range from outside. We're at .245 from three, a sharp contrast from the 37 percent we shot last year. Gotta do better. Maryland hasn't been much better at .287. I'd go zone and see if they can shoot us out of it.

It's going to be hard to stay in front of Trimble, and although he's up near 20 a game, a lot of that's going to basket and then the free throw line. He's averaging seven makes from the line per game. Who goes man up on him? Iroegbu? Or maybe Boals puts length on him? It will be interesting to see. As a team, Maryland has more FT makes than its opponents do attempts.

Maryland's field goal percentage: a subpar 41%. Opponents: 35%.

I love that we've gone a legit 10 deep to this point. Our legs should be relatively fresh tomorrow night.

Should be a good test for Sturdy inside. Dodd may not be flashy but he's a senior and a behemoth.

The tickets for the Maryland game at the New Coliseum go on sale today (11/22) at 10AM.  Presale code is LIHOOPS.
As far as the game today goes, I like Stony Brook A LOT as a 17.5 underdog!!!!

So you would take SB and the points in this game?? I dont think they can cover. Sturdivant had an incredible game against BC, something we haven't seen from him ever. The rest of the team was still quite raw. If Sturdivant can pull off another 20+ game then yes, they cover. I am not so sure just yet if he can.. This should be a fun game to watch either way!!!!

Iroegbu has got to start knocking down shots to stay on the floor. I'm liking the lineup with Nyama instead.

Love the work on the glass. We don't have nearly their size.

Almonacy needs to be more aggressive. He looks scared out there. And the more aggressive Woodhouse is, the better. Get in the paint and do as you please.

This team is going to win its share of games here soon.

I agree. Not happy with Irogebu and Almondancy performance so far, but the rest of the team looks pretty darn good. Practise some more with the 3 ball and this team could be on to something down the stretch..

Looks like the game may be getting away from SBU. Shooting has cooled off and Terps have hit a couple of 3's. The team plays hard and I think better days are ahead.

3 for 22 behind the arc is not going to cut it. Segunda is a non factor since the div3 game this year

The announcers can say what they want about the Maryland D. Bottom line is that we just shot it miserably.

Good minutes from Petras. Nothing special but I don't hate him out there.

4 and 1 from Saintel. He is little more than a body in my opinion. The juco guys have added little value to this point but I'm hoping that changes.

Don't care what Yeboah shot. I love his effort.

We don't have a Go To Guy or Guys. Remember we had Brian Dougher , El Amin , Chris Martin , Anthony Jackson, Tommy Brenton on defense etc.  Of course Warney . Right now we have  guys shooting baskets and hoping somebody gets hot in each game .  It will take another year of two to find our back to 20 win seasons  until then each game will be a challenge.

Overall, still very impressed with the effort of this squad. There are a few things that need to be cleaned up obviously but really the team is performing better than I thought they were capable of doing so early this year. Sturdivant continues to impress me- easily the most improved player in the conference I think. We really need to work on our perimeter shooting- Iroegbu's shooting has been pretty awful so far this year (19%). Yeboah is a full motor type of guy that has been a lot of fun to watch- he's got a ton of potential but the offensive game is a work in progress.

The two JuCo's (Saintel and Iroegbu) as a whole have been non-factors. Saintel should be a lot better- he's athletically real impressive.

Small sample size but Boals is doing a great job coaching up a team that is very raw. The future is real bright.

Agree our new coach is doing just fine bringing this group together. We will win our share of games.
